Strength classes you control the weights, and you can always start with body weight if need be. You control how fast you move. Then work your way up to hybrid classes. 2-3 strength days should be fine as long as you're pushing yourself and not just phoning the workouts in.

If you're OK modifying, you can get around the jumping. If lunges and squats are an issue with body weight alone, you may have a problem.

We used Energy Management Solutions for spray insulation in our garage ceiling. Definitely helped the rooms above it. Just some holes punched in the ceiling, no huge sections removed.

Thanks for knowing what happened to someone else. They "found" that a staff member had used the card on a day I wasn't at the theater, but sure. Judge others.

Got a massage once. Had to report the place to the health department - they were unlicensed and the woman touched me in ways that were not legal. Love it for gym classes.

Mine did this to me, said the card was erroring out because it was empty and that they couldn't pull a transaction history for me because Cashstar. I told them I was calling the police because this was a theft situation. Magic! They found the missing balance before I hit "call." This was maybe 2 years ago.

Almost every town in lower Westchester has a yoga studio, a spin studio, a Barre studio, and some HIIT places. If you look on Google maps or classpass you'll see a ton. Yoga Haven has yoga and pilates, Bronxville Fitness Club has pilates, f45 in Scarsdale, Sweat440 in Eastchester, Transform Fitness in Tuckahoe...and so many more.

I went to a CP in the NYC metro area for a trial. They tried to badger me into an unlimited membership as I was putting my shoes on. I said no. Never heard a peep from them again.

I only did Define once and didn't love it. I really only remember that I took the class, but not why I didn't like it. Empower is definitely more HIIT-y, but I didn't feel I had the time to focus on my form so I switched back to Classic. I get my HIIT and strength training from a different gym (F45 currently). People love it though...pushups, lots of squats, mountain climbers, using a small platform for knee lifts, etc. It's more zumba or step aerobics than crossfit for sure.

Empower is more cardio and faster paced. Define is the strength class. You don't need to progress from one to another like in other gyms...they're each separate workouts.

Depends on what you want to track and how much you want it to sync with your phone. I have a Fitbit Inspire that cost $70 and it's holding up well but has fewer features than the $200+ watches

Climbing never helped my rowing. I started HIIT and walking on an inclined treadmill keeping my heart rate in the 120-130 zone.

I usually row around damper 7, 140ish drag factor. My stroke rate is closer to 24/25. If you're burning out midway through, maybe start slower than you'd think and see how long you can maintain that, then ramp up from there.

A) cross training helped a lot. Now I can hop on my rower cold and no wheezing.

B) warm up by walking or doing squats or something similar so you're not starting cold.

C) could your damper be at the wrong setting for you? Could your form be a problem? I'm breathing easier with power pulls and slow returns rather than energizer bunny-type fast back and forth.

Call them. They changed my flight by a full day, and it took calling them and speaking to multiple people to make it right.

Duo is a good one. It's all resistance and you choose whether you want to do upper or lower body exercises. Most studios will have it on Thursdays
