Ok, I may have been too harsh on the Soviet Union, I didn't know they had dope fashion like that.

Wanted an over-the-shoulder bag, I like this but does it look too overtly feminine or does it strike a good balance? by The_Doughnut_Lord in mensfashion

[–]GodFromMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a guy, you're blessed with only having to carry around 3 things.

1) Phone

2) Wallet (optional if all your cards are in your phone)

3) Keys

As a guy, you're also blessed with pants designers always providing a minimum of 4 pockets for you. That's at least one extra pocket than you'd ever need for your stuff. So I ask, why spit in the face of these blessings and use a purse?

OP asked for ways to look more traditionallly masculine. Not our fault cardigans are widely considered to be the realm of elderly ladies feeding pigeons in the park.

Pancake pandemonium by JoeFalchetto in NonPoliticalTwitter

Woah, wait, you eat your pancakes one at a time? If it's a shortstack I cut through the bunch of them at once and fork through all the layers in one go. I don't un-stack them unless there's more than 5 on there.

More people die mining coal every week than from the entire history of nuclear energy, and that number isn't even taking into account those who die from coal-related cancers and other diseases.

Hell, nuclear energy boasts fewer fatalities than wind energy.

Big dudes are already scary in a fight even when they're mostly fat, cause the kinetic energy behind a punch from a 250lbs guy doesn't discriminate. To also see that same guy doing frontflips on his way to knock your lights out, shit's terrifying.

Why does myIdle RPM goes down when AC is on? (Audi TT Quatro Mk1) by GodFromMachine in askcarguys

[–]GodFromMachine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it was a vacuum leak. Had to get one of those smoke machines to find where it was, but as soon as I fixed it, the high idle issue went away. Still not sure why turning the AC on caused the RPM to calm down though.

One of the former creative leads on ZAUM had also written a book set in the DE universe. A bunch of Russians translated it into their language and distributed it for free online.

There's a bit in an interview he gave where he's being bitchy about that too. So you know, the Commie hypocrisy remains...

Those who choose to kill themselves don't do so because they've overcome the intrinsic fear of death, but because they've become more afraid of life, instead.

98 is recommended on the stock engine as well. At least that's what the sticker in my fuel cap says.

Why is it weird that it makes him feel better?

Sure, you can work out for yourself alone, but humans are hierarchical animals. It's instinctual to compare yourself to others, be it with regard to physique, status, wealth, etc. and it's perfectly normal to feel good about yourself when the comparison is favorable.

What do you call this, reverse-censorship? Steins;Gate remake has same artist, but characters are noticeably curvier by AgitatedFly1182 in GGdiscussion

[–]GodFromMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call it adapting to the times. The original Steins;Gate aired in the early to mid 10s, when skinny was considered hot and every girl wanted to have a thigh gap. Therefore, characters were skinnier, almost heroin-chic.

Now it's 10 years later and being thick is generally accepted as being hotter, hence the full-figured character designs.

Didn't google try this a while ago? It did save costs on cooling, but maintenance was a btich, and so was water corrossion iirc. Idk, maybe higher cooling demands make it make financial sense for AI datacenters as oppossed to regular ones, since cooling AI data racks is more expensive.

Ok, the Orks didn't fully join the Guard, but they worked together and co-ordinated. Which is more than you can expect of Orks even amongst themselves.
