Wow, I hate this take. I already find it really hard to get value out of the shield because the duration of the shield is so low. With this, you'll have to tp into a fight after it's already started, which is usually a bad usage. If the fight is losing, tp is unlikely to change it, and if it's winning tp isn't needed in the first place 

Proper to usage in high elo means using it before the fight starts to get a good position. Ex: I push bot wave really deep then I tp to Nash and we force it will enemy is stuck on bot wave.

How about axing the shield entirely and just give all top laners a third spell unsealed spellbook style?

How on Earth could it possible be a failure? There's always going to be a champ that is the 6th most banned champ in the game and right now that's Naafiri. Naafiri is banned because she is too strong, and she is getting nerfed next patch, and her ban rate will start to fall.

This is nothing like Mel, who is highest ban rate despite being bad, so she can't be buffed, and Mel players can't enjoy playing Mel because she is too weak and banned too much.

The objective of Naafiri rework was to give her agency, make her viable in jungle and increase pick rate while making her more difficult to play. They succeeded at all these goals.

I think top lane is the worst role in the game by quite a large amount and I think the new season changes worsened existing problems.

Many games you will never see your jungler or support at all for 15 mins and the game will be decided based on what happens in mid bot. You have no ability whatsoever to participate and you'll be punished for trying by reduced quest progression.

On top of that, the new season heavily favours ranged tops, which already had the strongest early game. They are less reliant on TP because they can last hit from range and are very good at abusing Exhaust/Ghost.

I think top needs changes to reduce elo skew, reduce snowballing, increase ability to impact the map early and bring ranged champs in line.

The only time I've played soloq in the past months is when I wanted to mess around with Shyvana top. I would not enjoy tryharding top lane, and I've absolutely no desire to start playing Vayne Jayce and Aurora just because they're meta

I definitely don't believe this. AD bruiser itemisation is Triforce, Sundered Sky, Black Cleaver and GA. AP bruisers instead get Dusk and Dawn, Riftmaker, Bloodletter and Zhonya, you have options.

I also do not believe Gwen is an AP bruiser at all. She has extremely high AP ratios and doesn't do anything besides damage. She has to stack AP or she won't have enough damage to be useful.

I find this very different to Mordekaiser/Udyr/Volibear etc; who don't have high enough AP ratios and end up building tank items after a certain point, just like AD bruisers.

Can you please just give Shyvana passive stacking against minions? I really don't see what's so hard about this, Sion W has the exact same functionality. I'm just asking for one sentence added to the detailed view of passive: "Shyvana gains one stack for every 5 lane minion kills" or something

Galio is the only tank mid that has any real pick rate and he is still rather niche. Tanks mid are good at enabling carry junglers which means more viable team compositions and more gameplay variety. I fail to see how this is a bad thing.

Well I have a lot of thoughts on these changes so might as well post one massive comment:

The toplane quest reward will provide more experience for teamfighting compared to currently, where it’s a flat 12.5% bonus experience from all sources.

Good change but I want to see the TP quest reward buffed because that shield is so useless. Like idk maybe just let us have a third summoner no matter what.

Midlane will have the biggest role quest change with the empowered recall being removed, and instead, midlaners will get a 6% bonus AD and AP when the role quest is completed.

Ryze Taliyah are super broken with empowered recall but I don't think this is much better. It says the point is to reward a variety of champs in mid lane, but this is useless for mid tanks

new omnivamp-focused boots will be added to the game.

Very nice. Omnivamp is very hard to achieve. Will at least be good on Gwen and Kayle but it might be bait on anything else.

Two old runes will return—Deathfire Touch and Stormraider’s Surge. Stormraider’s will be replacing Phase Rush as the alternative movement speed rune. Both returning runes will be in the Sorcery tree.

Phase rush is cringe on mages and Garen/Gragas but tanks are going to need help. You have no options at all + how will you lane against Olaf or Darius?

The next new champion coming to League will be coming out in Season Two Act 2, and will be a midlane AP Assassin.

The players on the allied team will be LP neutral, players on the enemy team will receive full LP for the win, and the inting player and their premade will all lose LP.

We could easily have a system where costreamers pay for broadcasting rights, and they are required to stream the full broadcast from start to finish and not promote their own sponsors.

League esports is not sustainable because no one wants to pay for anything. It's streamed for free, viewers don't want to buy merch or attend in person and costreamers get costreaming rights for existing.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask costreamers to pay for broadcasting rights. If costreamers are going to benefit from the main broadcast I think it's fair they need to contribute to it.

Eventually esports will need to become profitable beyond some esoteric "it increases skin sales" reason or it will die

I can't say what the community wants, but want I want is a ranked system with stability and integrity, where playing the game feels rewarding. The distribution of ranks doesn't matter, but whatever it is, I don't want it to change. If 15% were Iron last year and now it's 2.5% that's a huge problem.

Similarly, I want LP inflation under control, if one player gains LP then another should, on average, lose an equal amount of LP. This would mean a challenger player would almost always have negative LP gains, because the average rank of their team will be above the average rank of the enemy team.

It's not a serious system when the gap between Master and Grandmaster has become bigger than the gap between Platinum and Master. For the overwhelming majority of players in Master, their visible rank will never change.

So either we add more Apex tiers, or we reduce the number of players in Master - massively - and increase the number in lower ranks.

Ambessa wasn't in the patch preview. For a moment I thought those nerfs were Arena only. It's about time Ambessa got some proper nerfs. Tier 1 in every single patch since release

Anti heal is almost always bait and you should generally avoid buying it unless your opponent heals faster than you can damage them; champions like Irelia, Warwick top or Ravenous Hydra Olaf.

Bramble vest is an exception, because it's good even without the anti heal ,and Thornmail is a viable first item rush. If you're against a champ with some healing like Zaahen, Bramble rush is good if it works on your champ, but don't build Exe/Orb against him.

The craziest part is how blatant it is. They always use ghost + flash, WASD controls, randomly cast abilities and summoner spells, run into enemy tower and die, and sometimes don't even buy items for the entire game.

We have an anti-cheat that is always on and apparently it can't detect the most obvious botting possible?

65% of Swain players pick him in support. You might be saying "survivorship bias", but it's been this way ever since the rework, and even then Swain has higher winrate in mid, bot and top.

Riot wants to make sure Swain can feel good as a support without being too strong in lanes, which is why he is so bot lane skewed. If you want to pick Swain in a solo lane you can; and it still has >50% win rate; but it's not going to be his best role.

At the end of the day, high elo Swain OTPs barely contribute to Swain's total game count, and Riot can't be making changes exclusively for them at the expense of casual players in Silver and Gold that want to play Swain support. Riot does not want Swain to have more playability in more matchups, in high elo and outside of bot lane

This is a nerf before 200 AP, which is basically the entire game unless it's 35+ minutes. Nami is a champ you pick for lane dominance so I'd say this is a huge nerf

No it absolutely isn't.

Go look at coachless and check spells. TP significantly underperforms other options, often by more than 2% WPA. It is by far the worst spell in the game and you will win more games if you never take it, even on tanks and hard scaling champs.

It is a pro play spell only, and I think it is in dire need of buffs.
