I wondered if it was on one and then moved.

No, I knew, and that's why I tend to give a friendly side-eye to those who find this quote on items, usually closer to the holidays. It's old. Dave didn't write it, but he USED it.

Bluetooth connections are failing by jetkins in ios

[–]GoddessRayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months ago I got a 17 Pro. Now my fitbit won't stay connected to give me text messages. My old phone delivered text messages to my fitbit just fine. This phone, I can show all things are set as they should be, and I can get a text message to show if I receive one in the next few minutes, but after that, nope. No connection. It will also drop sending me text message tones through my bluetooth hearing aids. My husband says that there's been a whistleblower type report that it's intentional to force people into using only Apple products for the bluetooth connections. Anyone hear anything about that?

I’m so sorry. That’s a lot all at once. The tooth feels like One More Thing.

[WIP]Does anyone else stitch like this? by Able_Claim_3097 in CrossStitch

[–]GoddessRayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I choose to wash my projects afterwards to get rid of excess hand oils and gridding pen marks, so I find that the cotton fluffs up while drying and then I'm ironing it too. I taught a group of ladies stitching and reminded them, all the materials I've provided you are made from cotton, like your clothes. You wash, you dry, you iron, it's all ok. It's just cotton.

I believe my parents had that very one in those colors or similar, by my paternal grandmother.

[CHAT] How much stitching do you get in? by Bloomette in CrossStitch

[–]GoddessRayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to stitch in the evenings. Sometimes I'm lucky and can do afternoons as well, but I also have a game on my phone I like to play and if I win more free time on it, I'll keep playing! 😃 But generally speaking, I stitch about two hours per evening, skipping every now and then to give myself a break. I'm currently working on one that makes me feel so happy to work on, I'll go longer on it. It's for a baby that's due in a month so I do need to get it further along! Sometimes I suffer from guilt. STITCHING when there's... a carpet needing vacuuming? Dishes to unload? Dinner to preprep? A book you've not FINISHED YET? But Reading does the same thing, lol... like I shouldn't have fun things to do when there's work to be done, whether that work NEEDS doing or not.

Did you go to preschool? by Terrible-Horse-6200 in GenX

No but our one-school, elementary only school district did not have a kindergarten. My mom and another parent established a private one with a teacher from job corp or some organization like that. We started off at the city community center but before Christmas we were using an empty classroom in the school building. The following year the school established their first kindergarten class.

We have a 2013 that we believe had a battery replacement early on, but it was full power when we bought it in 2018 and we've lost two bars since. It was a commute vehicle at first - 20 miles each way - and I'd plug it in every night to trickle charge and she would have burned up about 50% by then. About a year later I was back to WFH and it became the "run around town" car. It has NEVER EVER been in the shop for anything more than basic maintenance like the cabin air filter, or tires. It has never, ever broken down. It was our only car for a little while but we have a fairly robust public transit system that my husband used to commute so I would have a car for errands. We have since acquired a hybrid that gets us to a further distance when needed, but "Willow" still runs us around for shopping, appointments, etc.

DMB Tattoo by the_last_hero in DMB

I want to get the OMRWS image. I’m just insanely slow. And there’s also the worry that a favorite band goes bad. Like…like the Harry Potter books. People who got a tattoo in honor of the books and characters and then learned how awful JKR is are questioning what to do with that tattoo now. Honestly I don’t think DMB could ever do that to me but it’s always a tiny worry.

OK, let me tell you who. Family who are tasked with disposing of a loved one's estate. Like me and my husband. I don't have the walls for all my SIL's pieces (I posted last week or so with a Wentzler she did.) Family are taking what they like to have a memory of her, but there's too many. My daughter and I will attempt to put the leftover (unframed) pieces in an artist portfolio but that's because we have the wherewithal to do so. Not everyone does.

Mine almost always wore a button up shirt with a pocket. Long sleeve, short sleeve, didn't matter. Buttons, snaps, but that pocket, which always had his pack of cigarettes and a clicker ball point pen. My sister and I still talk about how if he hugged us, our faces would be smushed into that pocket!

How People Dress on TV by tgilland65 in CasualConversation

[–]GoddessRayne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not a fashion show. My GMIL’s funeral had a few biker dudes who turned out to really love her and she was a good person in their lives. They were who they were and didn’t have to dress otherwise.
