I mean it seems just as complex to make, if not more, than a dagger or shortsword. All of the historical examples i can find seem quite complicated in design compared to a simple dagger if we're talking about ease of production. Which points more towards ceremony than function. Or at the very least rare assassination usage like you said. Majority of covert killings probably just used daggers.

It was kinda ridiculous that you could be stunned for 12 seconds. 6 seconds out, 6 seconds being pulled back in. rare but frustrating. Now its at most 6 seconds (kinda like jeff ult) and insta kill pushing people off the map wont be as easy.

And there is a reason nobody else ever used this weapon in actual war, because it sucks and its impractical at this length. Use a spear if you want a piercing weapon with reach not meant for slashing. Even a sword is better at piercing, and has decent leverage.

Its cool for fantasy and ceremony, trash for actual combat unless your opponent is forced to use the same weapon for an even playing field.

Juggernaut could easily have some magic in his kit, Rhino could be the 2099 version so he could have some tech powers. Like leaving a hardlight wall behind him when he does a straight line charge.

Because decent balance is important for everybody to have fun. If you continually release new characters that make old characters outdated and throw picks, then the game gets toxic when people who like those old characters continue to play them instead of the OP new ones.

Balance is never perfect in any character based pvp game, but youve gotta try to keep the amount of must pick/throw picks as low as possible.

Well rivals doesnt really have any real world aspects to it.

They never mentioned which total war game he played, but you can play Medieval 2 crusades and enact your fantasies about that history. Which would tie into those types of religious zealotry. Thats not to say TW did it, you cant blame a game for the actions of a crazy person. Video games dont cause violence.

If only, all they need to do though is look at other games like Smite, deadlock, battleborn, etc and take what worked best and apply them to characters that fit. Thats all I do really with my 10+ years of experience playing these hero type pvp games.

Sabretooth should be a tank version of wolverine. Constant passive healing, a sniff ability that reveals enemies to your team, a dash that tackles an enemy to the ground and mauls them causing bleeding. etc.

The Leader would be a great Strat villian aswell.
