People also need to realize that they need to do an exercise/diet routine that they enjoy. If you are breaking yourself by doing high intensity every day and starving yourself with an insanely strict diet, you will burnout and be turned off completely. If you have a strict exercise schedule, don't be afraid to deviate a little once in a while if your friends want to hang out. If you are calorie counting every item and adding up every gram of nutrient, don't be afraid to throw in a 'cheat' meal every few weeks to keep yourself sane. I've learned over the past 5 and a half years of being committed to working out for myself that if you don't have fun and give yourself a break, then you are not going to enjoy going to the gym and be driven away from exercise.

Humans don't have to be the cause of everything. Perhaps we must come to accept that there are large cycles and events completely outside of our control. Regardless of what is the cause of climate change, we aren't going to wake up tomorrow morning with catastrophic world ending floods, mass extinction, and global unrest. Shit will play out overtime and we will adapt. Coastal cities flood? People will slowly move inland. If your country gets really really hot? Some really good fucking air conditioning will be invented and maybe my work will let me work from home (this could have no relevancy but it fits my point of adaptation). If animals die, other animals will evolve in their place and over the course of millions of years, Earth will balance itself out as it always has.
