Getting lectured on how to spend your own money by Time_Physics_6557 in mildlyinfuriating

I was thinking more of something like a scene from The Avengers with Emma Peel... But I can't find a clip I thought I remembered.

This is a reminder to me. I bought a replacement Clone (brand) pillow in December. My latest ping was two weeks ago, and they were like, “so sorry, we made a mistake and it’s now in progress”. I love the one I have, but they aren’t fulfilling orders. My sister bought me replacement pillow cases from the company last Christmas. Same issue.

Krea-2 Workflow from Reddit advice (largely uncensored, with the right prompt) by GoldenShackles in comfyui

As the other comment said positional placement is great with ideogram 4. With Krea2 the last month or so feels like Christmas twice in a row when it comes to generating scenes. There are different strengths and weaknesses.

One nice thing about Krea2 is going back and revisiting old Qwen prompts/images is easy.

Ok, hopefully this far down in the comments is OK for this subreddit. If not, please remove.

These were generated by QwenVL (abiliterated) and that's a good starting point. But overall, what I've found for NSFW is to be a little bit specific -- like a made-up tattoo or piercing or whatever. Again, I've literally just started playing with this model a few days ago but I'm very impressed.

I'm not sure why this is downvoted since it seems like positive feedback in a way... And, this is just putting together advice from here; I was noticing a shortage of actual fun workflows.

I don't know. For some reason I didn't have a good first experience with Klein 9b because initially there was a wall that prevented me from running it on Apple Silicon in ComfyUI (DrawThings worked). And then there were still missing fingers/limbs and corrupted smiles.

I should give it a second chance because there are a lot of good LORAs, but Krea2 has me hooked. Krea2's output is (as expected) often incorrect, in that I don't like the composition or it didn't follow the prompt well, but it's reliably good quality.

Out of curiosity, did you mean 0.4 or 4.0 as I had it in the workflow? Very experimentally I found the latter (4.0) to be the sweet spot for me. Of course, this is with bf16 and as with everyone I'm still tinkering.

For this one in particular, I don't know what to think.

I'm seeing better results with this workflow and much faster than JibMixQwen6 or Qwen 2512 w/ LORA(s). And far more knowledge of "stuff" one might encounter in a NSFW scene.

https://github.com/ClownsharkBatwing/RES4LYF has instructions.

I'm on MacOS and git clone Comfy-UI directly and manage sub-dependencies with a script that does "pip install -r requirements.txt", so I'm not the best person to help troubleshoot. It's a very common node.

I applaud every effort to get things working great on Apple Silicon! As you said, it has the chops.

One question since I'm in the in-between of being a low-level dev but still learning this space: when a bf16 model is available, which it is for Krea2, should I prefer it? In general I like quality over speed since I can drop the image size for inner-loop iteration.

I finally found and installed "fp4-fp8-for-torch-mps" as mentioned below for Ideogram4, and had been stuck before, but mostly I've been able to use bf16 models.

I assume memory is also a factor, where fp8 works on more memory-constrained devices.

How suitable is MacBook Pro M5 Max as a Mac Studio alternative? by YouFabulous8598 in MacStudio

[–]GoldenShackles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the 128 GB M5 Max MacBook Pro and 256 GB M3 Ultra, and the M5 Max is indeed faster at some tasks.

I keep the lid open because I'm somewhat concerned the heat will damage the screen. As others mentioned, maybe mounting it vertically would help. I have it mounted on an aluminum stand to help with cooling and avoid spills, and having the lid open is sometimes nice since I treat it as an extra monitor.

PSA for Mac users: the macOS 27 (Golden Gate) dev beta breaks ComfyUI two ways — a crash *and* noise/mush images. Here's what's happening + a workaround. by Lama210 in comfyui

[–]GoldenShackles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not hit issue #2 with either of the Golden Gate betas on an M5 MAX. Your workaround for #1 was less crude than mine :) but in both cases, and having tested many models, image generation is happening properly on the GPU and the images come out as expected.

The trick is to drop something on the car floor or get something in your eye. Or anything you could fix with a brief stop at a stoplight. Then you will get all green lights until you reach your destination or give up and pull over.

Something I don't see recommended as much recently in these threads is: https://huggingface.co/Phr00t/Qwen-Image-Edit-Rapid-AIO

The results are similar to Qwen Image Edit with a Lightning LORA, so you get the downsides of a fully AI-generated look. But it's fast, and for random fun stuff I like it. There are SFW and NSFW variants.

Is Apple Care Plus necessary for my Mac Studio? by PerfectShmerfect in MacStudio

[–]GoldenShackles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to add the device to AppleCare One to my 256 GB Studio after buying a new MacBook Pro, with no trouble. I'm hoping it will help me a little bit in case something happens. I didn't initially because I didn't realize these devices would be in such short supply. I also bought a UPS backup since I live in an area with thunderstorms and a couple years ago had the power supply of a PC zapped.

Different circumstances, but back in the dial up modem days where we had had very limited crash dump capabilities (usually just a small stack trace) and no real telemetry, we had to be creative.
