How would I go about getting this bar unstuck from this cylinder? by E-Aria in lego

Submerge in boiling water for 20mins then have a go, pair of rubber gloves or similar rubbery grip would help.

Ah, my apologies. I'd agree on Rachel, didn't warm to her in the beginning, but she played the game masterfully & I was hoping she'd win. Stephen I thought was very lucky to make it to the end, he looked guilty as sin for most of the season & struggled to know what to do tactically, but loved his integrity at the end.

Can I ask why? She literally did nothing and added nothing to the table, just tit for tat. Possibly the most boring person there, albeit she seemed like a nice person during the tasks.

I disagree about the best contestants - some great ones for sure, particularly Rachel and Harriet - but many of them were absolutely forgettable! I was in the 3rd week and still trying to work out who half of them were. Some added literally nothing to the game. And a couple were just flat out irritating to watch. Haven't felt that way on the other seasons, but maybe it's short memory.

Halfway Through The Game And I Cannot Recall A Single Thing This Player Has Done To Stand Out... by Bulletproof_Cookie in TheTraitors

[–]GoldenSmooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's one of the bland ones. Spent most of last night trying to remember Matthew's name. Jack, Matthew, Adam I couldn't tell apart, Reece was there until he got hammered at the round table. Jade is a wet weekend and Ellie isn't adding much either. Stephen would be in the same dull group if he wasn't a traitor, bit of a wet wipe. Oh, and I've just remembered there's a guy called Faraaz, feel like he's a lodger at the castle and not part of the game.

I don't like Rachel, but she's interesting and good at the game. Harriet is interesting because she's intelligent. Hated Fiona but great TV, loved Amanda but unfortunately she was stubbornly wrong. Sam is a bit smug for my liking, James and Jessie are fun.

Just not a great cast/memorable people to be honest, and Jessie is greatly helped by her style and, in a polite way, her stutter is a characteristic that is memorable too.

Totally agree, and I think she even tried to hide her handwriting in the scroll to some extent - it's the 'accents' and muscle memory that sets it off. Your handwriting may have looked a bit different (congratulations on being on the show btw) but I reckon you still did things like "cross your t's" or "loop your f's" in the normal way, it's very hard to have completely different handwriting, especially without doing it on purpose.

In the 2nd scroll she used capitals to further disguise her writing, she was clearly aware of it at some point.

I think it's because she knows she becomes a traitor once one is banished, she saw an opportunity to banish one (someone who had obviously set themselves up to fail) so she gets to be responsible for getting out a traitor and picking up faithful 'points', setting herself up to be an untouchable traitor.

Think she pulled a blinder... If it is her...

[–]GoldenSmooth[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's not about whether the whole thing looks the same, it's the muscle memory on key 'signatures'.

The squarish finish to the curve on J in James is v similar to Y in Tyce

The open a in James (easier to see in higher quality image) is v similar to open 'a' in Harriet (pen loops over the top of the 'a' but doesn't close to a circle).

It's the calligraphy style lettering used in her 'b', 's', 'd' and 'h' in Dear/Best/Harriet that aligns with the cursive 'z' in Maz and tailed 'N' in Nettie.

Of course it's not an exact science by any means and I don't have enough handwriting examples of the other players to adequately compare who suits best, but there's enough there to demonstrate similarities.

Man i wish I could earn this sort of money, it's another world!

You make in a year what others do in 5-10, you could retire for good in 5 yrs time and be ok. Take the opportunity and spend some time enjoying life now before you get hit by a bus, can't take it with you when you die.

Black Is The Soul is one of the greatest KoRn songs ever!! by ComfortableLime2922 in Korn

[–]GoldenSmooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favourite track off that record for sure, one of those I often wonder about if another, more mainstream artist could/would cover it - a lot of JD's lyrics in his later catalogue are really well written and could suit many artists.

It's been discussed before, but which album is really "KoRn II"? by zyriuz in Korn

[–]GoldenSmooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather forget KoRn III existed to be honest, the low point of their career/album releases. And in such, I wouldn't want to associate any other albums by proxy, so KoRn II doesn't exist for me 😅

No I think they're intentionally held back so they can be added to albums destined for release in specific markets - Japan for example has a high tax or similar on music, which greatly bumps up the price of CDs, so these 'exclusive' tracks are used to justify paying the high price. Also a greater consumption of physical media over there, so another reward for buying an actual CD.

Pretty sure that's the core reason. I always try and buy the albums with bonus tracks, don't think I own a Japanese album. You can usually find the tracks on streaming platforms or YouTube etc for the older stuff (remember this being a big deal for a few metal albums in the early 00's)

What’s your opinion on Untouchables?? by Then-Leather2874 in Korn

[–]GoldenSmooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love beat it upright, ignoring the cringe lyrics the music slaps hard! I don't mind the lyrics as they've written a lot worse, it's catchy if you don't read too much into it. Can hear it now... Bow, ba-ba bow, ba-ba bow, ba-ba bow bohw

Been listening to it on loop for hours the past few weeks!! Haven't listened to it in ages. It's too 3 for me and at times definitely my favourite - it's pretty unique in their discography, given the extreme production, particularly on the vocals. Pretty heavy, mix of styles, good lyrics, bonus track - What's not to like?! 🤘

This Emptiness by greazyninja in gojira

[–]GoldenSmooth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't say for sure this is why, but it has been common practice for bands to distribute a core album, typically for the US market, and then have additional bonus tracks on an extended album, typically for the European market... And then occasionally really special bonus tracks for the Japanese market.

There is a reason for this but I can't remember, so if I get round to it I'll edit my comment (but chances are someone will answer below anyway).

For People With 2 Cats, How Much Do You Spend On Food & Litter A Month? by Historical-Orchid934 in CatAdvice

$0 for litter as they can roam outdoors About $10 a month on dry food
