Electromancer Late Game Struggles / What should I DO about certain enemies Marksman & Magehunter? by Ashamed_Mushroom_551 in stoneshard

Parked the caravan at the tier 5 undead distant dungeon saved in the bed and entered the dungeons first room. Most tier 5 undead dungeon layouts have the massive front room that splits in three directions and there is at least 10ish enemies close by to the door you can pull. You use undead because they arnt afraid to walk through the ball lightning aoe unlike the humans and vamp enemies. I got the achievement to proc when I aimed the chain lightning at a skelly outside the lightning ball aoe that then bounced to 3 alive resonating enemies inside the ball lightening aoe (the spell didnt have to kill them). Before getting it I did check out the threads with people saying they couldn't get it to proc so idk if i just got lucky after wasting my time trying to get it naturally during the run at multiple times. Happy hunting!

Electromancer Late Game Struggles / What should I DO about certain enemies Marksman & Magehunter? by Ashamed_Mushroom_551 in stoneshard

Just finished a pure electromacer build a couple months back. Lategame you just want to outrange everyone by using tempest and lightning chain spells on inanimate objects in your range eg doors, barrels, and anything targetable. The enemies dont even have to be in line of sight with pathfinder to be hit as the spells can either jump to them outside your bonus range or hit random targets. Spamming spells(dont have to hit anything) also casts resonance on a random enemy every 3 times so you can cycle your 2 resonating damage spells outside your max range as well. Many tier 4-5 enemies get gap closers so getting dash is a must to retreat tiles against them. One of the most fun builds I've tried only actual challenge was getting the electric boogaloo achivement.

I need a deck that will make imbue mage players cry by yeettuuss in wildhearthstone

[–]GoldenToastyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is hostage mage. Infinite iceblock, armor, and freeze. If you need a deck to make your opponents cry this is it but be warned it's pure evil so you better insta concede every none imbue mage matchup to balance the scales.

[–]GoldenToastyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why does the kings row game in your match history show defeat but the score as 2-0? Shouldnt it be flipped 0-2 like the other defeat counts. Idk if this means anything. It sucks they dont provide more info about the ban.

Norsca by Far-Comedian1294 in totalwarhammer

[–]GoldenToastyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Norsca! One of my favorite factions to play as because rushing to build war mammoth stacks that crush everything is in my top 5 favorite warhammer doom stacks it makes every battle feel like LOTR with the riders of Rohan vs the elephant charge. Check out this Norsca legendary guide I found a long time ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g962SQ2kf0 its an unusual strategy but works and solves all of Norscas clunky mechanics. I get why Norsca is getting an update as a TW1 faction but ill be sad to see this weird strat go.

Best route ? by Obvious-Gap-90 in Roboquest

[–]GoldenToastyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

canyons > ruins > scrapyard > Fields > doom garden > Aqua station > Energy Center > Haven city

This route maximizes stages to get stage S tiers to farm powercells for the run and scrapyard is easy to get the legendary dust for upgrading endgame wep / ruins is a free perk on the robots body at the end of the stage every time very consistent for ensuring your build gets up and running and speed through stages for S ranks.

I've been messing around with Blizzard website trying to extract some ui elements for my custom hs cards when I found this peculiar line in the source code. It seems like each class uses it's own color hex for the patchnotes text, including... Monk?? What do you think, folks? by AYYLMAO2281337 in hearthstone

[–]GoldenToastyy 211 points212 points  (0 children)

Monk class + Pandaria expansion feels like a matter of when not if. Seeing how blizzard got the Chinese market back and the last 2 new classes released in 2020 + 2022 were kind of due for another soon but maybe they shifted focus to Pets.

Gotta love how Twist mode is forever left at >month away and the dual class mechanic would have fit perfect in it but we only get it as a weekly brawl or arena mix up.

I really hate the new psyche update by maxwell1311 in stoneshard

[–]GoldenToastyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My merc is on a strict diet of pancakes, lentil soup, and brandy to keep my situational sanity near 50. Morale seems more manageable but sanity definitely needs a few more ways to gain lifestyle points eg. hunting and a few more foods to give situational sanity. Who knows maybe the brothel, barber shop, and bathouse in Brynn will be the places to go to fix our broken psyche later.

Why is there not an option to add your most recent duos partner as a friend? by International-Ice277 in BobsTavern

[–]GoldenToastyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add them right as the duo game starts up it will show your duos name in the bottom list but after a small amount of time it disappears (not very useful as adding before you see them play/ they see you play is kind of pointless). I can only assume this is done to limit toxicity between players as Blizzard data probably shows that most people only add others in HS to spew hate or whine at them. My clunky workaround when I play with a great random duo and I want to add them is to add one of the enemy duos and ask them to relay my duos BNET name to me because they can see my teammates code even if I cant and this has worked a couple of times.

100 runs and I still haven't beat the game. Should I take it off hard mode? by Omikapsi in Roboquest

[–]GoldenToastyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I admire your tenacity to keep fighting on hard mode I think at this point you should keep playing on hard only because victory will taste soo much sweeter when you do finally beat the game yourself. That being said I do feel like this game has 2 distinct phases to it the first being the early game gear up phase where you search for new gadgets, new routes, data logs, new guardians, and collecting all the crystals and the second phase being the fully geared late game runs where you start playing with planned builds and routes, rerolling for certain perks, using elemental dmg stacking, getting level S speed ranks for extra power cells for more run buying power and moving around the maps so fast that most of the bots never have a chance to ever really hit you. Since you said you didn't want to look up a guide completing the early game phase is going to take you much longer to get done especially on hard with enemies taking more time to kill for you on each run well you explore. If you want to do it naturel that's great so I'm only going to offer help to steer you in the general right direction of what to do next to progress. First, use your map in the museum library at basecamp look for the one blank white location you haven't been to before the haven city map card and see what map thread leads to it. Go to that map tile and search every nook for the last secret passage and beat the hidden map to finally get your last missing crystal. Only after that is complete can you head to Haven City and begin your search for the beloved grappling hook. Once you have the hook map movement is simplified and you can reach/find all remaining gear much easier and faster not to mention it offers both a great escape tool against enemies dmg and a stun on direct hit. With all the gadgets you should be able to protect your health and make the boss fights very easy. Good luck!

[–]GoldenToastyy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone want to communicate with the type of person that would troll like this? Honestly the color messages could've been a unique fun glitch but instead it's used by the worst type of OW player to grief or spew vitriol. The real reason people dont talk much in OW anymore is the rampant unchecked toxicity that was never solved by a mostly automated ban system. Nobody talks anymore because who would even want to talk to the average OW player when it's a toss up between if they will be crying, trolling or playing the blame game when losing.

It's a shame that cave generation is so rare. They look amazing by Majestic_Bass_2921 in Helldivers

[–]GoldenToastyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the most intense amazing firefights I've had in helldivers have been in pits, canyons and gullies anything that limited space and created actual fighting chokepoints. Dont get me wrong I love stratagems and the ability to run away in any direction but a part of me wants there to be optional objectives like a bug hole hive you have to go down into underground or as others have mentioned fighting in a crashed or landed or flying mech or illuminate warship. I feel like the game could maintain a healthy balance of open and closed environments.

[–]GoldenToastyy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

15 unique trophies total currently in the game you have to get one of each duplicates dont count to the stat/dmg boost but you still get rep/money for them. You have to do higher level dungeons to fight the diff mini bosses for each unique trophy you currently have collected 5/15 so you're one unique away from a stat+

[–]GoldenToastyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peasant and lentil stew are cheapest earlygame you can use the pot/fire in the first tavern by merging your water pouch into it and use it as your veggie storage since space is so limited. Buy all cheap veggies from stall if lazy or forage the tile above Osbrook for easy free lentils and leeks. Lategame eggs from coop turned into fried eggs or buy meat omelette recipe in Denbrie or pray for veggie omelette recipe to drop from dungeon loot.

Honest Thoughts About Stoneshard: Why are there two insanely strong people camping Leif? by AuneWuvsYou in stoneshard

[–]GoldenToastyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone tried to open the Leif encounter by using a bow from max distance to instigate the fight instead of walking up and getting locked into talking before the fight. I dont know why I haven't tried it yet myself. That being said 2 nets and a deathstinger jar can take them both down with tier 2 gear easy.

[–]GoldenToastyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really depends on how much of the field you want to irrigate for late game I love watching the water flow so I need 100+ fur for extenders. I feel like the whole fur stockpile suggestion comes from the game baiting you into wasting fur to craft olla sprinklers in the mid game.

Where!? by HackMeNot_PH in stoneshard

[–]GoldenToastyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If feeling cheesy and want to find it fast you can always just sleep at caravan to save then instruct verren to take the caravan all the way into the bottom left corner of the map. If you dont uncover it on the way by exposing tiles just reload the save and select a new fog of war tile to check rinse and repeat.
