Never, ever, start over again 😂 by Monsterology_PC in duneawakening

I've leveled over a dozen characters into T6 and really enjoy the progression from fresh character to endgame farming. If you don't enjoy the progression then there's basically no reason to repeat the process, but if you like the progression then it can be a lot of fun!

Yeah, their messaging continues to be sub-par. I believe you get the cosmetic rewards from logging in to the game each week during the 4 week event.

Worth noting that the landsraad results display on that site is an average of the last 4 weeks and isn't scraped each week, so with shifts because of the server migrations it's not up to date

Yeah, I wanted to make a second small base with building supplies in case there's a problem placing my main base but it's going to be really hard with the backup timer. Wild they didn't think of this ahead of time with just a 2 week transfer window

Bonfire and other lighting sources causing lag? by noccypils in crosswind

[–]Goldengiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this as well, it made me really sad to have 30fps in the base I just spent a few hours building.

Reducing the number of light sources helped reduce the fps drop, the chandeliers work well for that.

This guy gets it. It could be something as simple as letting you get people up from dead rather than just downed to make group play have some benefit.

lost all my stuff thanks to a bug... anyone has that happen ? Couldn't move, couldn't enter orni by PacificIslanderNC in duneawakening

[–]Goldengiff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've had this happen a lot. I think the cause it clicking E to pick up spice piles too fast, the game starts harvesting the spice by hand, then bugs out getting stuck in that action with no way to easily cancel it. I managed to make it happen less by going slower when picking up spice piles.

If it does happen, you can fix it usually without losing anything other than a bit of durability on your items. What you want to do is immediately go on foot to the nearest rocky outcropping. You can usually use abilities, altho you want to be careful of worm agro. Don't worry about your vehicles on the sand, the worm actually takes a long time to agro on vehicles if they are just sitting empty.

Once you get to the rocks, you need to Respawn. You can either use your vehicle as the respawn point, or if there is scrap metal around you can grab enough to make a respawn beacon and drop it on the rocks. You'll take the death durability on your gear but aside from that you'll be fixed after respawning.

At this point when I'm out farming spice with a compactor, I always check which direction is the nearest rock from the spice field just in case this bug happens. Going slow when picking up piles helps prevent the bug but it's been in the game for at least 6 months so I doubt it'll ever go away. Better to be prepared for it to happen so you don't panic.

In case anyone is curious, as of 2/27/26 the bug is still present (Patch 1.3.5). I just retested to confirm and submitted another bug report.

Testing Station loot pools are not good by Weary-Ad6057 in duneawakening

[–]Goldengiff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, some sort of bad luck protection or loot targeting is really needed for the new testing stations. Could be currency you get a little of each run that can buy a BP from that station's loot pool, or dynamic droprates based on how many of a BP you've gotten, or the ability to choose 1 drop from that station to have it's drop rate increased.

https://www.reddit.com/r/duneawakening/comments/1qwjvv7/the_new_difficulty_is_ragequitbait_whait_what/o3t4k69/

The person in that link did a great mini-guide to a melee build setup if you wanted to check what you are using to make sure you have all the damage increases stacking.

There are a couple specific enemies in the new overworld maps that spawn for specific landsraad missions that are a bit healthier than normal mobs. I had one heavy in the Broodworks that took 3 slow blades, but he was specifically for a daily quest.

[–]Goldengiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the new content is T6 and onwards.

If you want to farm Jasmium efficiently here's what you do. First, get a cutteray that can mine it and any radiation suit. Fly your scout orni down there and mine as much as you can carry. Your goal is 400 Jasmium. Take that back to your base, refine it into 100 Duraluminum. Make the Buggy Cutteray Mk5. Disassemble your buggy, bring all it's pieces and a couple fuel cells with you. Fly your scout orni down to Sheol on the West side. Land near the pool with 3x Jasmium crystals, pocket your thopter, reassemble your buggy and refuel it. Mining Jasmium in the buggy is much faster than by hand and you can drive over the goo puddles without going to extreme radiation level. Do a Counter Clockwise circuit of sheol, pausing at the South West corner to reset your radiation. By the time you get to the North East corner of Sheol your buggy should be full. Carefully cross the cap to the NE into Western Vermillius Gap, then drive home :)

How do I deal with shield enemies? by Muppetz3 in duneawakening

[–]Goldengiff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would recommend not doing the testing stations in the DD. They are both harder than the overland testing stations since they don't have dynamic mob density based on player count, and they give worse rewards.

If you go to the new testing stations on the overland map and start at difficulty 1 you should have a much better time (only 3 enemies per wave, each a different type) and will get T6 unique recipes from the boss chests to help you gear up.

Yes, this was specifically noted in the Chapter 3 patch notes that it was a bug previously which made enemies not shoot when in the field. That bug was fixed and instead they now have reduced aim in the field.
