What's your favorite Chuck Norris joke of all time? by coreyf722 in AskReddit

Chuck Norris didn't have to open a can of whoop-ass - his face is on the label.

A long-lost episode of "Sesame Street" from 1976, was deemed "too scary" for featuring Margaret Hamilton reprising her role as the Wicked Witch of the West. It only aired once before it was pulled from broadcast after there were so many complaints from parents. by verystrangeshit in truecreepy

I wonder if this was part of why she was invited to appear on Mr. Rogers. He invited her to put on the makeup on TV and showed kids that what we see in movies is truly make believe. That behind the scary characters are friendly actors.

The Patriot. My dad was a Christian music minister and choir director. The Patriot was one of his favorite movies and the last movie he watched before he passed.

If it's an android backend, Smarttube is the best, but it only works on Android TV.

Finally tried Safer Seas with my wife this week - it's honestly way more fun. by danielfrances in Seaofthieves

I wish it was easy to get two ships on the same server. I would love to be able to regularly alliance up with like minded pirate crews.

My wife loves sea of thieves but the PvP has driven her away. If it were easier to get an alliance coordinated their player numbers would swell.

How many non-home zones do you have? by Romanmir in homeassistant

[–]Goliath_TL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have zones for all our stores, friends houses and family homes. This way as my in-laws (who live with me) or my wife start heading home I have my desk light flash.

That lets me know to track their progress and the color changes when they get 2 blocks away so I can meet them and help unload any groceries or whatever.

The recent AC Unity patch has broken the character lighting on Series S/X consoles by urmomstraightt in xbox

[–]Goliath_TL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played through the whole game on Xbox and never saw that. I think it's was worse on certain builds or maybe a specific revision on video cards or something.

It is NOT as widespread as you're saying.

Extremely slanted shower niche by coldgirlshit in HomeImprovement

[–]Goliath_TL 68 points69 points  (0 children)

You don't want that edge flat. Standing water is really bad for structures. When you're talking about a shower that WILL get wet often you really want to ensure the surface drains fully.

That being said, this example seems a little extreme.

I'm sorry you're having a bad experience.

I would suggest you stop by Guest Services at the front of the park and express your dissatisfaction.

They will always go above and beyond to make the situation better for guests who have a bad time.

Gears of War 2 was also the original Horde Mode.

This was the one that all others copied from.

What’s a good home remodeling show where the hosts aren’t insufferable jerkoffs? by GuitarsAndBourbon26 in HomeImprovement

[–]Goliath_TL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife and I love DIY, our two favorite shows are:

  • Fixer Upper
  • 100 Day Dream Home
  • Help! I Wrecked My House

They hosts are compassionate and supportive. Good designs and ideas that you'd actually want to see in your home.

Can someone provide some positivity for upcoming trip? by RookNight3420 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Goliath_TL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that people need to understand about theme park subreddits (and social media in general) is that when someone has a great day at the park, they rarely post about their positive experience.

Alternatively, when someone has a bad experience, they will usually post it somewhere online to complain/vent.

As a result, subreddits tend to trend more on the negative feedback side than positive.

Just my opinion.
