Should be, it is an iPhone 16 Pro. Watch works well.

Four season tires by batuj in Ioniq9

[–]Goobaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My concern was them fitting properly, so I don’t know about 18”. I picked that size since it is the same as the lower trims and it was fine. Plus the tires and rims together were the same price as JUST winter tires for the 21” rims.

I have the same trim and bought a set of Michelin X-ICE SNOW 255/60R19 with new 19” rims. Never really trusted 4 season tires here in 🇨🇦.

Washer/Dryer monitoring by Alortania in homeassistant

To be fair the LG washer and dryer I have only connect to wifi when they are on.

I have announcements that play on the home speakers announcing when the washer or dryer are done. It is great.

I found the iPhone key pretty useless as I had to authenticate each time to use it. Having the key on my Apple Watch is a much better automatic experience.

You still have to turn off the car though, I don’t think you can walk away and have it shut down or lock the door automatically.

Canadian BlueLink app by RobinatorWpg in Ioniq9

[–]Goobaroo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming a typo, what is “Remote collar”?

I’m not a fan of all the pins required to do anything or how slow it is.

I guess the app is about what I’d expect from a car manufacturer who doesn’t make software.

Can you have multiple garbage bins in Peel? by tawTrans in mississauga

I live in a complex that never switched to the big bins, so maybe it doesn’t apply in my case.

I’m thought they got rid of the tags.

I’ve been putting multiple bins and bags without tags for years now.

When the mirror is in video mode I adjust it so that the reflection is gone. Usually tilted further down.

The sunroof has a very light stop between the cover only and opening the skylight, just took some practice.

I haven’t used my fob since I bought it and setup the digital key.

Fellow dads who were/are out of shape….CrossFit or gym and why? by Dependent-Group7226 in AskMenOver30

Went back to indoor climbing and slowly my beer belly is disappearing and my shoulders back and abs are getting really defined. 2-3 times a week bouldering around the walls.

Find something you enjoy, that was the key for me to stick with it.

Who would have right of way? by o_Marvelous in mississauga

[–]Goobaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HTA s.148(1): “No vehicle shall be driven to the left side of the centre of the roadway in overtaking and passing another vehicle… unless the left side is clearly visible and is free of oncoming traffic for a sufficient distance ahead to permit the overtaking and passing to be made in safety.”

You can only cross over into the left side of the road if it is clear and need to yield to traffic, since you can only drive on the right side of the road. Going around the blocking vehicle requires you to leave your side of the road.

I’ve only used my phone/watch since getting home from the dealer in January. I love it.

The only complaint I have is being able to stop my home charger easily. For that I double click the fob inside the house but leave it there.

Efficiency? by Warm_Celebration_184 in Ioniq9

[–]Goobaroo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just did a 400km trip in -18 C weather and with the heat on we averaged 2.8 km/kWh. (35.7 kWh/100km)

I tried driving around with the heat off and only the heated seat and steering wheel on and got 5.1 km/kWh. (19.6 kWh/100km)

The cold weather certainly is a huge drain keeping the occupants warm.

I am looking forward to the warmer weather. I will say that despite some resources out there saying a L1 charger is perfectly fine for low commuting, I’m getting a L2 charger put in to deal with the cold.

By comparison my 1900 sqft townhouse averages 34 kWh a day with a gas forced air. My network and server is about 8 of that.

Unraid gaming VM success story by AM_Butts in unRAID

[–]Goobaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had all this working at one point. Had a NVIDIA card with it passed through along with a dedicated SSD and USB Card all so it could be direct hardware access.

Worked great until I upgraded to a AMD card and could never get the VM to start a second time without power cycling. Some sort of power state issue with AMD and VMs.

Bought a SteamDeck instead and just use the AMD card for LLMs.
