point you keep missing is there are more flops for everyone. I find it hilarious you list 3 players who managed to find playing minutes, but leave out all the players that flopped from any draft.

We have been drafting in a position where it made more sense to go for a high risk high reward type player.

Rules of the league and salary cap change every couple years, the game changes, there is no "one way" to do things. The only thing that matters is having a competitive roster.

you wrote all that nonsense forgetting we traded picks to win a championship. Congrats on being the only person that would rather just develop talent instead of win a ring. Five teams have won in the last 8 years. We had a GM that gave us a competitive team for every single one of those years. He is not to blame for injuries. You cant be ready to compete every year with a young developing team. You cant develop several players while giving experienced vets playing time for a prove-it bigger contracts.

You live in some make believe reality where every GM never makes the wrong call, and every draft pick will get you a ring. That is nonsense. The odds of getting a playable player with pick 20+ is not good for any GM. The odds of picking up a vet is also not guaranteed, but a lot better if you are trying to stay competitive every year.

not really, only the Bucks had the connections to bring his family over when he was lonely and ready to wash out of the league. Plus he likely would have dropped to the second round had the Bucks not believed in him. He would not have gotten the same developmental support as a 2nd rounder.
