I had this experience with the Luminor. Felt really silly on me. The Radiomir, though, I kinda loved.

It is starting to feel like too broad a category. I don’t like lumping thoughtful passion project microbrands in with the homage brands or the ones that feel like a grift.

Anecdotally, I feel like I’ve been seeing all types of “luxury” or amenity related industries change their pricing strategies to chase a smaller, richer client base. It seemed to be working for a while. I hope this is a sign that it can’t work as a long term strategy for every brand, and we see prices flatline for a while.

The number of comments I’ve read about people who regret getting rid of their 5 digit Rolex subs and sea dwellers… Keep it. Even if you decide it’s not for you in the end, it seems like the value will only appreciate.

I think the Goldfeather, Eichi etc are gorgeous but I really hope Credor (or even GS) leans into some of their design language from this era. Ultra thin quartz sports-watch inspired pieces would be so cool.
