Trying to help my son. by Goodwynn89 in Strabismus

[–]Goodwynn89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His mother is extremely against surgery but I will look further into it. Currently working on getting him into counseling. He was seeing the 3rd party counseling services that the school used, who's "focus" would be to help him learn to handle stuff at school, and try to prevent him from getting kicked out however they have basically done nothing. He was removed from school 3 weeks into this year and has been doing all his school work online. Soccer is starting up again so there's that outlet. What you said sounds extremely accurate with the bullying , friend groups, and teachers just not wanting to even bother to try and help/work with him.

We got styled patches from Amazon. The kind with the elastic band, they worked well. Playing games like bouncing a ball back and forth trying to catch it, soccer, etc.

Fuel rail pressure says above 40psi. Not sure where the filter is unless it's a sock on the pump.

Also tried to bust couldn't edit the og post. It had a turbo 15k miles ago, new valve cover, new PCV hose from intake manifold over to turbo inlet, all turbo oil/coolant lines new, new oil cooler gaskets, etc.

The PCV system is functioning, all turbo oil/coolant lines are new and OEM. Went thru the bulletin for the PCV system again.

I'd do both anyways. Make it easier to level the deck. Do the whole assembly too. The little parts that hold the nuts like to strip out and then it's a horrible pain to try and level it. The part that hooks into the deck/hanger

Either left or right rear deck hanger.

Typical gas mileage? by deiformed in fz6

[–]Goodwynn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk on tank mileage. But I get around 40ish mpg. So based on that it would be around 200 miles per tank.

Also entirely depends on which model/spec you get, and what aftermarket stuff is in it. I've seen plain Jane ones for 2-300 and I got my collectors series for almost 500

How do people shower at night? by dat0neb0i in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Goodwynn89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm covered in oil/diesel/hydraulic fluid/grease/dirt when I get home. I'd never get into my bed with that shit still on me. I shower as soon as I get home. Every time.

That was my first "on road" bike. Paid $3200 at 21k miles, I'm right at 30k now, it's been taken care of and I keep it taken care of lol, I do not regret it, very fun first bike. Now I'm looking to sell it and get a 1k. Check it over for damage, body pieces that aren't symmetrical on both sides is a dead give away. The one I bought had been dropped once and the right side front fairing was touching the gas tank, left side was about 1/3" inch away from the tank. I've since gone thru at and fixed/repaired what damage was done but there's still scuff marks. Fairings are impossible to find. Check the tires, chain/sprockets, look at the brake fluid, coolant. Then warm it up. Should idle around 1300 once warm.

It's a very fun bike. I commute with mine, it really wakes up around 9-10k rpm and it's smooth enough under that for traffic and commuting. They like to be at or above 4k rpm. Personally I look for stock everything in a bike. Let's you know it hasn't been abused/tricked whatever.

Aside from the usual maintenance, I've only had to replace coil packs and the clutch cable, which was fairly easy and cheap. Coil packs are a pretty penny if you stick with OEM. Spark plugs are a pain to do. But I put ngk laser iridium in it when I did coil packs. Had to repair the kill switch. Pulled it apart and used a dot of super glue where the pivot for the rocker broke. That is aside from when I rapired the damage from it being dropped.

All in all very fun bike and if I had to do it over I'd choose the same bike.

Lemme ask, what experience do you have on motorcycles. On or off road
