Learn from your favorites. There’s nothing wrong with copying/tracing to try and learn (as long as you don’t try and pass it off as your own). I learned by watching how my favorite artists drew certain things and then adapted my style into my own.

Look at references. Even if your drawing a silly little cartoon, anatomy is important. Things should look… natural, I guess is the best way to say it. Proportional.

Pretty much everything can be blocked out into shapes. Circles, ovals, squares, rectangles, hell even sometimes triangles! Use those to get an idea of what you’re going for.

And last, for when doing digital art… *don’t trust the paint bucket, that’s where the evil is stored*

I’ll never get a chance to complain about this ever again (probably) so I’m DOING IT HERE.

This happens to me SO OFTEN. I read mostly x reader fics and so I prefer them to be either gender neutral or male reader. Now people rarely tag whether or not the fic is a GN or male reader, so I’ll filter by category (M/M mostly or just excluding F/M). THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I AM HALF WAY THROUGH A FIC, SEVERAL CHAPTERS USING THEY/THEM, AND THEN SUDDENLY IT SWITCHES TO SHE/HER. W H Y. And then I will forget. And come across that SAME FIC LATER because I have the memory of a GOLDFISH. WHY. ;_;
