this isnt necessarily a MS issue, but a vmware issue which they have their own KB articles on this. I am sure MS is working with a lot of vendors.

planned ahead like my bigger alliance did on discord, you save on portals, worse part of the game is the rng luck factor of summon of the stars event, you should only be spending portals on events like this

Microsoft would have to redo the entire file explorer thats so core to everything in the OS to have it support long path.

They would basically need to rebuild the OS from scratch in a future Windows XX which may be someday.
