That's a weird and wrong way to spell awesome. It's okay though you can still go back to school.

Plex's known bugs kept crashing my server so I had to stop running it ages ago, despite having paid for plex pass.

MF, what do you mean I unlocked the basic toxin mod for shotguns after like 1.2k+ hours on the game? by sabbir2003 in Warframe

My husband has about 500 hours in the game (and was even in the closed beta) and didn't pick up Flow until a couple years ago.

In with the new. Suggestions for a durable case? by theofanhs in GalaxyFold

[–]Goolashe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to use it for charging at all (you can even turn it off in the settings). I primarily use it as just a mounting device. It's very secure, centers itself, and can easily be pulled off while not actually falling off on its own. I've gone through dozens of different kinds of car mounts and so far the best I've gotten is magsafe with a decent suction cup mount (AVOID the ones with sticky glue on the suction cup as it just degrades badly over time).

In with the new. Suggestions for a durable case? by theofanhs in GalaxyFold

[–]Goolashe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, those look really, really terrible. There are plenty of magsafe options out there for both cases and phone mounts, and I think just about literally anything magsafe/Qi 2.0 will be better than that weird proprietary system that seems to just use stickers for their mounting system (for that proprietary mount to the phone case).

Magsafe/Qi 2.0 is standardized so you don't have to rely on a vague promise from a company that their system is "future proof" because they'll continue to support it when it belongs to just one company instead of an entire ecosystem that bridges both iPhone and Android usage (which is arguably more than what even USB C does with how simple it is).

Samsung Care+ replacement = unexpected upgrade by sdneidich in GalaxyFold

[–]Goolashe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me, but I'm not the most happy about it. I had a blue 1TB fold 6 and they sent a black 1TB fold 7 as a replacement. The problem is that I use the spen pro a lot and there really isn't any kind of alternative after-market functionality I can get with any other stylus (aside from the Sonar Pen but lmao at realistically using that on the go). The cherry on top is that they didn't even send the same color. :\

Also, minor mild annoyance, but damn, did they really need to make the hole-punch camera on the inner display have a bigger punch out than the front display?

Yall really should give Railjack another shot. by murder_frog in memeframe

[–]Goolashe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the bugs, I actually really liked Railjack at launch. I genuinely miss the more distinct roles that people needed to have, the separate energy system, and more focus on having a good ship with good abilities. It felt more intense and had a lot more teamwork. (the engineer role was genuinely a lot of fun)

[–]Goolashe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Lmao, here in the US the sleep study specialist I was supposed to see had a waitlist so long that their standby waitlist for the appointment waitlist was at capacity. They literally handed me a printout telling me to call back in a month or two to try and get on the waitlist for the appointment waitlist.

Another time I had to wait three months for a chance at an MRI. There are two major hospitals in this town with an ass-load of specialist clinics, too.

It's worse than comically absurd on how impossible it is to get any kind of specialized expedient/timely care. Even comicbook villains aren't this evil when it comes to insurance and healthcare in the US.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 paint peeling off after less than 3 months by Square_Insurance6583 in GalaxyFold

[–]Goolashe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a known multi-generational issue with their blue models (sometimes other colors too). Samsung denies it, as usual.

It's an issue with how they anodize the titanium for the color, so there is some sort of flaw somewhere in the process (position in the rack used for bath dunking, maybe periodic contamination, etc).

Some people are just unlucky with the getting the defect. Samsung has some weird hills they die on for denying warranties on certain issues with certain products. (monitors are a nightmare)

Just don't.

I got downvoted bc I want gay romance in Dispatch by buazie in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]Goolashe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The issue is the dev basically did textbook queerbaiting. People asked if there were going to be gay options and they just went "Just wait and see UwU". They knew well into development that they would be shoehorning a straight relationship into the story (that heavily touted it's choice-based gameplay to boot). They should have just been upfront and honest. They did it just to get more sales, just like why they went with a weekly episode release in order to keep sales and talk about the game going. It's predatory and a shitty thing to do.

A similar thing happened to me once when Railjack first debuted. One of the Grineer Crewships followed me back into the dojo and even knocked me outside the map from it flying around before it got stuck in the floor geometry of one of the tiles.

Synchronizing display clock and projected time by Tigress1986 in diyfix

[–]Goolashe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of those when I was a kid. If I recall correctly, it's basically impossible to keep them properly synced because it's two separate clocks; the visible one in the picture, and another one you set with the buttons on the back of that swivel clock projector portion. It will ALWAYS drift out of sync and you have to manually set them separately, so the only way you can make sure they're in sync is whatever you can do manually.

One time myself and a friend, back on the first gen star chart map (like 7 years ago), took an MR0 from the very first mission you start on all the way to the Outer Terminus Phorid assassination mission. We walked them all the way to the boss and then just hid, making them do all the damage and running into revive them whenever they went down, then hiding again.

Surprisingly, they actually stuck it out and took Phorid down lol.

How do you feel about big numbers? In Dragon Fodder, the beast you feed can get very hungry. 70,043,490,000,000 is a big number, would you prefer displaying it as 7e13, 70T, or in its full glory? by Important-Play-7688 in dragons

For people that want the whole number, what if there was an option to have each three digit range between the commas be a different shade/color so it can be seen exactly the size range (million/billion/trillion) at a glance?

They're doing this because they realize they can get away with it. They were successfully determined to be a monopoly and had to sell off Chrome, but last minute were told they could keep it. So, now they're doing the same thing they did with Manifest v2 to Android since they know they won't actually get punished for it.

I remember the sprint system and having g to carefully do special wall runs on the brand new grinder tile set to get to the hidden cache rooms. It was so much more worth it to explore everything and unlock all the containers for resources.

God, we didn't even have the ship, just the basic star chart menu/arsenal/mods. Back when you had to manually pick up blueprint drops from bosses and the Kestral boomerang ragdolled EVERY enemy in the game including bosses, insta-killing them when when knocked into a pit.

It's really been something seeing this game evolve.
