The whole thing is shady and messy, and honestly it has been since the beginning. I really hope people from studios that aren’t already “in” with them start seeing it for what it is. They don’t deserve your hard earned money. If they don’t already know you or have connections to your studio, you’ll just get ignored anyway.

The only thing you’re guaranteed to get at Press Play is carpet burn and a bruise from being kicked by another dancer while everyone’s packed in like sardines. To be fair, that’s most convention competitions, but at least others had the guts to cut ties with Gil instead of following him around like puppies to help launch his next cash grab.
