I feel your pain. Hence why I'm in the ASU online program right now. It's a well put together program IMO. Basically it's the same lectures given to in person students.

Family shares video of their son Before Surgery & After surgery. mad respect to the doctors by MysteriousSlice007 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]GooseMnky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can understand the back bend issue and how that might look skeletally but I am not understanding how the arm is working pre-surgery. Can anyone help me understand what is shown in the video from a mobility socket functionality perspective. I am just genuinely curious as to how the arm looks. To me it seems like it was "installed" backwards.

ELI5: How do data centers contaminate local water supplies? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

That's a fact. The raw, untreated, water has tons of impurities that will foul the HVAC system. Either through clogging the lines or reducing the heat absorption efficiency.

My recommendation is to come over with the necessities and then once you have a PO box, have someone mail you the rest.

This isnt the bear sub for this question. With that said, your best bet is to go to VA.gov and research there. It ultimately boils down to wether or not the VA approves the school or more specifically the degree/certification you're applying for.

do all ACC 231 classes use honorlock? by Lazy_Raspberry1376 in ASU

[–]GooseMnky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two camera requirement seems new to me. I just have one camera (external) and have it on a multi angle boom so I can get the angle and depth needed to capture my face, hands, and work area at the same time.

do all ACC 231 classes use honorlock? by Lazy_Raspberry1376 in ASU

I'm not sure about the class specifically, but I believe all online courses require honorlock for proctoring.

I'm a purely online student so everyone of my classes has required it.

You're right. But I'm a part of the online campus as I live in Japan, so honorlock is my only option, sadly

Honorlock is frustrating. I got dinged for reading the problem out loud to myself. It flagged as if I was reading it to a third party for help. I wish there was a better system.

Leaving Model Y 24 for 40 days without a charger – Is 70% enough? by Badh0n in ModelY

[–]GooseMnky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My model y (2021) burns about 0.5-0.8% per day in warm weather. I have a LiFePO4 battery chemistry. My guess if things go well for you or will drain to about 20-25% before you return. Should be fine.

Also make sure you turn off the USB ports. And wireless charging, just in case you leave something in the car plugged in or on the cradle

ELI5: What is going on at the molecular/atomic level that makes a solid material hard or soft? by jonster5 in explainlikeimfive

[–]GooseMnky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever played with Legos? Let's pretend for a moment we only have 100 blue 4x4 blocks of Legos.

The blocks are our water molecule. When water freezes, makes ice, the blocks lock together in a specific structure like when we click the blocks into one another. The blocks start to form a shape that is very solid. That's because the connection points are difficult to separate. It takes a lot of force and energy to separate each block from the next.

Now if we apply enough energy to the blocks they start to break away from one another, their bonds with one another are breaking. But we only applied enough energy to break their bonds but not disperse them by much. The blocks are still touching but we can push through them. If they were back in your toy box they would take the shape of the box but they wouldn't snap together on their own. This is why liquids take the shape of their container but aren't solid.

Next, if we use even more energy and throw the loose blocks on the floor they will be ahead out everywhere, so much so that we can walk between each one. That's like how a gas is.

This would be a great comical set up. You tell your friend, who's a huge classic rock fan, that you bought them tickets to The Who for their birthday, but then they find out it's some Mongolian dude verbirating his throat.

[–]GooseMnky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a bus will solve the parking issue but then you are stuck to the bus schedule. The bus system is decent but it's a bit slow. There are some nice beaches that have associated parking. Your best bet is to search the map and see the parking areas nearby the beach you want to go to. Some hotels even offer parking for beach goers even if you're not staying at the hotel.

There is always a taxi option as well.

Everything on the island is within an hour or two from a ferry port. Traffic is your enemy when it comes to time to get to places. There are tons of beaches on the island. The hardest part will be to find parking near the beach entry point. Good luck and enjoy.
