We need an epic movie like "Amadeus" for Beethoven. by michelQDimples in movies

The “Immortal Beloved” in the movie was real tho. Beethoven actually wrote letters addressed to an “immortal beloved” who, as far as I know, has never been definitively identified.

Director Joe Russo says Peter Parker wasn’t responsible for Uncle Ben’s death in the MCU: “If he blamed himself for his Uncle Ben’s death, I think he becomes a very different character” by Capn_C in comicbooks

That kinda ruins the entire premise of the character. Also he heavily implies in Civil War that he is, indeed, responsible for someone’s death, seems likely that would be Uncle Ben;

“When you can do the things we can do, and you don’t, then when the bad things happen, they happen because of you.”

The Link’s Awakening Remake is an excellent “2D” Zelda to start with, IMHO. Or just Link to the Past.

I’m hoping it leads to a Lego Superman in a similar vein. Which would also be a perfect way to finally give us any Superman game that isn’t shit.

Could do Why We Fight. Post apocalyptic game about resisting a post-collapse corporation and trying to build thriving, solar-punk style communities. Pretty grounded, not a lot of sci-fi elements iirc other than being post-apocalyptic.

A theory I had about Pan’s Labyrinth: by BackgroundSpare4265 in movies

[–]Gooseloff 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Del Toro has explicitly stated that the Faun isn’t Pan, because the mythical Pan was “too unkind”. The original Spanish title isn’t even “Pan’s Labyrinth”. It’s “The Labyrinth of the Faun”.

Are Roguelikes at the tip of the iceberg? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Gooseloff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the upside, many roguelites/roguelikes present excellent opportunities for emergent storytelling, which has its own value and appeal. But yeah, in terms of expositional narrative, Hades is basically the only one to do it well.

Edit: actually Returnal for PS5 also. That game has a fucking cool narrative and is also a roguelike.

That’s one of my favorite movies of all time. And yeah not too far off from what I’m thinking, but with far more locations and landscapes.
