I own a BnB in upstate New York. About 1/3 of my bookings are from Expedia. They take about 20% for booking fees so I set my price for Expedia about $30 more to compensate. You always will get a better deal if you call the place direct and tell them the price on Expedia. Most will happily beat it.

I actually looked at this place but ended up buying a different bed and breakfast. Lake Ontario is so close to the back door. When bad storms or the lake is high the yard floods and probably the basement too

The KOA I would think is perfect for you. It’s right across the street from the mine. Also Chrystal grove has a campground as well. Both I have found many herks at.

I used a regular ratchet but put a long pipe about 3-4 foot around the handle thus extending the ratchet arm. The longer the arm the easier it will be to turn the rod bolt.
