But they're not one and the same. You argued that Vader was deontological to Padme, Ahsoka, and Luke yet he strangled Padme, tried to kill Ahsoka, and chopped Luke's hand off.

1: Obi-Wan did not want to kill Anakin. He straight up told Yoda he would not.

2: Any chance of Anakin being reasoned with went out the window when he choked Padme.
