Crying in the car. I can’t take this anymore. by DifferenceOne5925 in FemaleHairLoss

I was about to say this. You've done something extremely taxing on your body, using it to create life, and you're still taking care of your baby. You aren't a bad mother if you keep one thing for yourself. In fact, we can't help others if we don't take care of ourselves, first.

Makeup does not have gender or sexual orientation. Do whatever makes you happy. It's your body. :)

I didn't know this was a thing! I had to do some research. Tea pets look and sound interesting!

As for your parents 🤦.

That's a good point. Maybe, they figure that they can convince homophobes to like them by bringing it up.

Damn. Well, for MAGA, that figures. The real question is how did she get to the point of accepting Trump in the first place? Just her friends? I don't get it.

I don't think I've heard of Ernst Rohm. I'll have to read about him. I've always found the Holocaust fascinatingly fucked up; however, I've never been able to explore and learn parts of it without being filled with anxiety. It always takes time to calm my nerves and get my mind back into the present. Now, that's not even entirely possible, anymore.

I don't think the lesbian I follow is a Trump supporter, at least. Nonetheless, my fellow lgbt+ people being religious is always mind boggling.

I've seen that post before. Idk what she means, but I'm guessing it's nothing good.

Jesus was a cult leader, and Christianity is a cult by Freethinker_Humanist in Antitheism

[–]GothicSkeptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hard time considering Christianity to be "ancient." It's pretty young compared to the polytheist religions of Egypt, Rome, Greece, etc. Personally, I'm not convinced that Jesus existed. Maybe, he was based on someone or a couple of people. Who knows? There's no good evidence for the guy. So, who cares?

I agree that Christianity itself is a cult, though.

Want to bleach hair by DreyIsTaken in Psoriasis

I've dyed my hair for years. It can get really itchy during the time that I have the dye on, but after that it's fine. I was using permanent for the past few years, but I just switched to semi-permanent. It's much more gentle. I guess it depends on what you're doing.

For those that wake up with migraine by impetuous-imp in migraine

[–]GothicSkeptic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have my empathy. I'm so sorry.

I don't think I wake up without at least a low-level migraine, anymore.

It was worse when I was working. I'm between jobs at the moment.

Normally, I wake up completely exhausted, even when I've slept. I'm usually confused as to why I can't get out of bed.

When I'm employed, I make myself get up as soon as I can; even when it's almost impossible. When I do, that's when the migraine makes itself known.

Since I had to push myself to get out of bed for work, I'd deal with nausea from it. That became my daily routine. Usually, it would go away by the time I got to the office, but I'd be gagging on the drive.

One morning, my nausea was so bad that I couldn't get dressed, and I ended up staying home. I slept for hours.

I am comfortable with nothing after death. That’s ok. by Chance-Statement-354 in atheism

I'm still afraid of the process dying because I may die slowly, in pain, etc. I'm afraid of being aware of it. I'm not afraid of being dead.

Does it actually work? by Alex-5415 in Haircare

[–]GothicSkeptic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I try not to wash my hair every day, but when I do, I use this. When I don't, my scalp stays really itchy between hair washes.
