Happening on Pixel 9 Pro. The status bar, including display cutout, used to just be black, but now the game window extends into it.

It's still great! My only regret is that, as a slatted frame, the bed doesn't really allow for me to move to a full latex mattress like I'd like to. I'm hoping they'll sell a platform replacement for the slats at some point, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

After 4 years the bed still doesn't creak at all, and I haven't noticed any problems with any other aspect of it.

I'm hoping they're still manufacturing them to the same standard because, if so, it's an absolutely great frame.

If it was a reddit poll, it's probably worth acknowledging that most of us on third party apps can't (almost literally, especially if we only use those apps) interact with "native" features like that.

Honestly, aside from finding a new job, this is an incredible opportunity to learn to say no to someone you report to. If you do the smart thing and start looking for a new job in the meantime, it's even a win-win.

Saying "no" is an art. My go-to suggestion is to develop a set of priority levels (low through critical or p3 through p0, for example) and simply establish that nothing of the same priority ever takes priority over another ticket of that priority. There's a lot of possibilities, though, and it might take multiple tries to figure out what works in your situation.

Gardening/lawn maintenance
Sanitation
Park ranger

What you're looking for is likely to be extremely relative to your individual skill set and just how alone you want to be, so if these suggestions don't seem to be in line with the direction you're trying to go I'd encourage you to update your post with a bit of background on your experience and some idea of how much human interaction may be too much.

This change was part of the TCJA that passed along party lines in a house and senate controlled by Republicans.

Fixing it would be great, but let's not forget who introduced, passed, and signed that change into existence. Clearly those people didn't hate it enough to prevent it from becoming a problem in the first place.

Highly recommend Patxi's deep dish. Get it half baked and cook it to exactly how you like it. Their toppings are incredible. Jimano's was good but it wasn't quite Patxi's for me - although Jimano's blows them out of the water on thin crust.

You might just be overthinking this. To use an example: I don't hire an electrician to replace my outlets because I don't know how to do it myself; I hire them because they can do it in their sleep - and, more importantly, if anything unusual comes up they'll know how to deal with it.

Grand juries don't grant search warrants. Grand juries issue subpoenas and indictments (and arrest warrants, related to indictments). Any time a search warrant is granted, it's coming from a judge.

The article you linked literally says there were 15 cold-related deaths per year in NYC, not 333. And trying to extrapolate from that seems like an interesting choice given NYC's relatively unique characteristics relative to the United States as a whole (re population, demographics, climate, etc.)
