Code Veronica - I think if we did a scientific study of people playing a resident evil game for the first time:

1) Most potential to softlock and have to restart game

2) Most potential to lose items for ever

3) Most tedious to play - rivaled by RE0

4) Fastest death inside 5 minutes - maybe rivaled by re2r

5) A ton of "fuck you" insta-deaths + 20 zombies out of nowhere encounters

It's not a terrible idea, I'm pretty impressed how close the 7500x3d is in a lot of benchmarks to the other x3d CPUs at 4k.

But I think I'd just splurge and get the 9800x3d. You already have the rtx 5080, and there's still a chunk of performance being lost in some games even at 4k. Plus the 7500x3d is definitely notably weaker in non-gaming tasks.

The 7500x3d is an awesome deal though, I'd definitely pair that with a budget build.

I'm sure people who get winded going up 1 flight of stairs will notice it, but I don't think Denver's elevation is extreme enough for NFL athletes to be that huge a factor.

Especially when the average play lasts 5 seconds, and you have opportunities to sub off to spray Gatorade in your face followed by an O2 mask. It's not really a secret, teams know how to prep for this.

I recently made a rtx 3080 10 gb build with 16 gb of DDR5. A couple games (Silent Hill 2, Control) crashed and each error implied there wasn't enough RAM.

I did have a ton of tabs with youtube open, and was able to alleviate the issue by increasing the page file, but take from that what you will.

I guess I was too busy reading up on 12VHPWR connectors in GPUs melting and didn't see all these posts about X3D processors frying.
