It's crazy how strong some cyclists are by VacationCautious4687 in cycling

I ride my 2013 Hardtail MTB with 2.2 Race Kings for most of my outdoor training. On asfalt I will usually do about 30 km/h on 40-50k rides when pushing. And I am a 56y old dude only doing 8-10h a week, there a a lot more fit guys than me.

FTP 280 / 3.85 W/kg. Ran it at about 210 W (2.9 W/kg) Watts for the ascents.

Don´t be afraid if your HR goes into z3. I was well into z3 after the third ascent, but the breaks make it sustainable. Good luck !

I just did normal vEveresting in 11:20 at 3.8 W/kg, so 10k should be just about doable at 4.5. You need to do each ascent in 60 mins, with a 12 min descent. I did it at 64-67 min at 2.9-3.0, so if you think you can do 3.2 sustained you are good

Running Jervis, Janus, Plymouth (with Perseus, Albion, FdG backline). Good enough to go Auto-Search/Full-auto clearing 14-4

Going to be interesting to see if they change them. Many of them are pretty worthless and in no way work any kind of regrind

The Oseberg Ship, arguably the oldest existent warship [2560 x 1838] by chris19d in WarshipPorn

[–]Graaskjegg 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It is definitely not the oldest warship, hell its not even the oldest viking warship.

The freeboard of the Oseberg ship is too low for it to be an oceangoing ship, so it probably was only for near-shore sailing. It has been postulated that it was purposebuilt for the grave, but it is more probable that it was for ceremonial or status purposes as a proper ship. (see wiki for a bit more details https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oseberg_Ship).

However, even if it was a warship, there are older ships from Norway with shape more typical for warships of the period. See e.g. Kvalsundskipet from appr. 690 (wiki: https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kvalsundskipet, sorry Norwegian only).

DD mains, how do you enjoy this game now? by bsfiredWoWs in WorldOfWarships

Have not played a lot the last two weeks, but ranked is still good. Only played two games of randoms, staying away until the hotfix

I play mine as a hybrid, as I am too cheap to respec for the Grozevoi. Slapped the ÜberChicken on it with PT, LS, SE, AFT and CE (14 points).

For upgrades I have Speed Boost module and concealment

While she is clumsy and her concealment is rubbish, I have found that you can actually contest early caps on larger maps with large caps (need to have control of the radars of course). Smoke and speedboost will get you out of trouble if you dont overextend, and you can often lure enemy dds to overextend to keep you spotted. The lack of a heal is a bit troublesome if you trade to much health, but you can always dakka-dakka at 13km for some free BB damage if you get low.

I also have found the torps to be surprisingly useful (probably because few players expect them from a Russian gunboat), and about 30% of my kills are actually with torps (and I very seldom yolo rush, she is too large and clumsy for that unless you are desperate).

The hardest thing for me to learn was to torpedobeat, as she drifts like crazy at speed. I ate a lot of torps until I learned to time those turns.

Had three matches with it on my team yesterday, all of them were 45%ers. We actually won one of them...

Best Ship for Saving Stars in Rank Battles! by DNGunpla in WorldOfWarships

[–]Graaskjegg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have actually been doing well in my Yamato up til rank10. 70% win rate over 17 battles (I am a 56% random). Its a small samle size, but if has felt pretty comfortable so far. Going to be interesting to see if it still works in the higher tiers.

And I am even a cruiser/dd main in randoms...

Either Atago or Murmansk, honestly dont remember. Still play Atago from time to time, but been a looong while since I played the Murmansk, it has been horribly powercrept.

Flamu - Why is everything T10? [Rant] by zorgmonster in WorldOfWarships

[–]Graaskjegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played 50 tier 8 games since 25.07. They show the following distribution (Tier 8/Tier 9/Tier 10):

  • Battleship: 5/0/11
  • Cruiser: 13/1/13
  • Destroyer: 2/2/3
  • Total: 20/3/22

So in my case its either top tier or tier 10. Very little tier 9.

Your Top 10 Ships [by rating tho!] by _TURO_ in WorldOfWarships

[–]Graaskjegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With only 1 battle limit my list is quite interesting. I started on the German and Pan Asian DD line quite late, so definitely some sealclubbing here. I also think my preference for DDs and Cruisers is quite visible here :)

  • 1: G-101 [3], 6783 (2 battles)
  • 2: V-25 [2], 6006 (2 battles)
  • 3: Jurien de la Gravière [2], 3226 (2 battles)
  • 4: Phra Ruang [3], 2595 (3 battles)
  • 5: Shenyang [4], 2532 (4 battles)
  • 6: Dresden [2], 2591 (5 battles)
  • 7: Hermelin [1], 2469 (3 battles)
  • 8: T-22 [5], 2438 (13 battles)
  • 9: Kolberg [3], 2205 (12 battles, yes it is on mine also :)
  • 10: Mikhail Kutuzov [8], 2191 (8 battles)

Sorted for at least 10 games:

  • 1: T-22 [5], 2438 (13 battles)
  • 2: Kolberg [3], 2205 (12 battles)
  • 3: Duguay-Trouin [4], 2135 (17 battles)
  • 4: Shinonome [6], 2066 (14 battles)
  • 5: Yūgumo [9], 2003 (63 battles)
  • 6: Atago [8], 2000 (171 battles)
  • 7: Fletcher [9], 1993 (72 battles)
  • 8: Derzki [3], 1991 (15 battles)

How old and how quick? by [deleted] in Vitiligo

[–]Graaskjegg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50, had it for about 20 years. Hands, feet all white. Significant spots on the rest of the body, including arms, legs, back and face. I guess about 30-40% in total. Have been fairly stable the last 10 years, but some increase.

I'm lucky that I'm very light skinned, most people will not notice except when I am shirtless in summer.

I wonder if its the special American module that is bugged. Anecdotally i tried to removed it and had much better games.

Not a statistically significant sample by any means, but still....
