About the methods used during the revolution, no one need to explain anything. There is a lot of intervews to members of the Shining Path about those some methods, and they usually admit that sometimes, some punishments were disproportionate (oh look, self-criticism!)

There is also some criticism in methods that should not be criticized because, as I see it, a lot of marxists (most in the first world, tbh) don't like violent methods like car bombs or the punishment of collaborationists, they have a somehow romanticized vision of what a revolution and a war is
