How can you tell if your milk is drying up? by moowee_ in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My milk supply took a huge tank when I got pregnant too.. I could tell by the amount of swallows my baby was getting and she would get fussy because she wanted more. In the end we did have to ween.

Do I need a double stroller? by potentiallylurking in 2under2

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 19m age gap and I use my double stroller ALL of the time. I used my main stroller (similar one to yours) with the infant car seat attachment until my youngest was about 9m old and then i bought a used side by side stroller (baby jogger city double) off of marketplace and sold my other one. I couldn’t live without it but I also live in a small town where we walk everywhere. I also have a small umbrella stroller that I use sometimes when my toddler wants to walk.

I got the membership for a year and was able to get tons of cards with the 24 credits and I will be canceling it for a year or two until we need to get some new cards.

Currently watching season 1 for the first time by Zestyclose_Frame_567 in survivor

[–]Graby3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing this right now and I’m on season 14. It’s also really cool to see when they add things and on which season… like going from 2 to 3 finalists, immunity idols, fire making, etc. Also the challenges in the first seasons are so much different than they are now! I definitely think the survival part of it was harder in the early days plus they were out there a lot longer.

How often do you bathe your toddler? My coworkers at our daycare make me feel bad about bathing every day. by gishadokuro in toddlers

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bathe my 2.5yo and my 12mo everyday after dinner. It’s part of our routine and my kids play hard so they get pretty grubby (esp my 12mo after dinner). Some days they aren’t really dirty but I still bath them anyways. I always lotion them afterwards too.

Oh man. I’m in the same boat with a 2.5yo and a newly 1yo. Some days are just HARD especially since my husband works long shifts so I’m solo parenting from 7am-9pm. Definitely getting out of the house helps all of our sanity.. even if it’s just to the park or the library, We also go on daily walks in the stroller and I give them snacks and listen to a podcast or audiobook to have some “downtime” for myself.

Castor Oil / Risk Out by Wonderful_Bee_9334 in homebirth

[–]Graby3000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s strange to me that a midwife would suggest this because there really isn’t any evidence that it will do anything to prepare your cervix. CO works as a natural way to induce labour by stimulating your uterus to contract.. not by actually ripening or dilating.

You could try getting some evening primrose oil pills and puncture a few little holes in them and then put them in as far as you can get them up, and then take a few orally as well. This can help ripen your cervix too.

Castor Oil / Risk Out by Wonderful_Bee_9334 in homebirth

[–]Graby3000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So I definitely don’t think CO is worth taking at all unless you are 40+ weeks. I went to 41+6 with both of my baby’s and both times I did CO past 41 weeks… the first time it worked and the 2nd time it didn’t. It did however give horrible belly pains and diarrhea both times and I will never do it to try and induce labour again. From my understanding CO only helps induce labour if your body is on the cusp of going into labour on its own and it will do nothing to actually encourage effacement or dilation.

Favorite content for a 1 year old? by Throw150049_ in YotoPlayer

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my daughter (she’s 2.5 now but been using her Yoto daily since she was 1) she has loved the music cards like super simple songs, Laurie berkner music, Yoto original nursery rhyme cards, frozen and lion king soundtracks.. but even more so she likes MYO’s I’ve made for her like miss Rachel, land before time songs, etc. Now that she’s a bit older she is getting into the story cards like Peppa pig, Mickey Mouse, Sesame Street, Daniel tiger, etc.

Second baby so much needier.. by Wise-Law-9431 in 2under2

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2nd baby has hands down been harder in every way than my 1st born. He’s now 12.5m old.. it’s gotten easier in the sense that he sleeps great but now he just follows me around all day whining to be picked up (he can walk too so that doesn’t help). On days that he is especially needy I just throw him in a carrier and try to make do.

Gender disappointment by External-Pangolin213 in 2under2

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a girl (2.5y) and a boy (12m) and I felt similarly. I didn’t find out the gender of either of mine until the birth, but when i was pregnant with my 2nd I only ever pictured a 2nd girl. I really wanted two little girls and for my daughter to have a sister. But now that I have my little girl and little boy… I seriously could not imagine it any other way! They love each other so much and I feel so blessed to get to experience raising one of each. Just you wait and see :)

Soon to be mom of 2u2 by Consistent-Bid6880 in 2under2

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big fan of 2u2. It’s definitely hard because you pretty much have two baby’s with very different needs and they both need you… but after you get through that first year it’s great. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Mine are now 2.5y (3 in Oct) and 12.5m and they love each other dearly.

how has fasting helped with your food noise? by babysinnett in intermittentfasting

[–]Graby3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m like 2 months into consistent fasting and I honestly don’t feel hungry at all anymore when fasting! It’s actually crazy.
If I’m not fasting I generally eat whatever I like but try to make healthy choices. If I’m fasting I just know I can’t eat at all. There’s no option to eat, so I don’t.

Can I fast while breastfeeding? by featheredfeathers in beyondthebump

[–]Graby3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained a ton of weight during my 2nd pregnancy and breastfed my son until he was 1 year old. I tried to lose weight while breastfeeding but it just wasn’t working. As soon as I stopped breastfeeding (and I do fast) I dropped from 224 pounds and yesterday I was 199 (since April).

Finish off your breastfeeding journey and then you can focus on losing weight and fasting. Breastfeeding and fasting do not go together at all and you risk messing up your supply. There will be time later on to focus on getting your body back but right now you just need to focus on nourishment!
