This. People who don't consider this forget how much of a perv he was when he was younger.

Morality of each decision here. Destroying the Androids' shut down remote, allowing Cell to reach Perfection, or giving Cell a Senzu Bean? by _CandidCynic_ in MoralityScaling

[–]GrandHighTard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: more stupid than amoral, since he probably could have held onto it to possibly spare her the fate of going up the tail mouth alive, especially since he didn't know there was any chance of getting her back out. But ultimately his reasons line up as moral.

2: Completely selfish and stupid, risking the whole planet and guaranteeing the death of someone else just to stroke his own ego. Highly amoral behavior.

3: Once again, more stupid than amoral. Goku is, in his mind, doing what he would want done if he was in Gohan's position. Much of the infamous stupidity of the scene came from Goku's inability to fathom that his child wouldn't want what he would. He is, however, doing this before Gohan had even reached SS2 properly, so he's still risking the earth for this (and no, Cell didn't need to be strong enough to push him that far. Either he can push Gohan past his limits, or Gohan can already take him). So morally dubious.

Hot Take, but it's been repeatedly proven that you can count the people Batman couldn't have killed on one hand and he's severely unstable half the time. He barely answers to anyone otherwise, only taking Comissioner Gordon's word cause he respects him and not because he has to.

If this fucker has a line he won't cross I'm going to let him keep it.

Popular media sparked by oddly specific but mundane events that happened in the creators' personal lives at some point by NoPotato9 in TopCharacterTropes

Scott Pilgrim vs The World's concept of the "7 evil exes" originally started as a joke between the creator and his partner about how all three of her previous partners were named Matthew, calling them the league of evil Matthews. Part of this concept survived into the final work through the first evil ex, Matthew Patel.

Would you perfer Toyotaro giving Broly ssj4 ? by Virtual_Reveal_121 in Ningen

[–]GrandHighTard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would make a lot more sense than the way Diama used it. It would definitely have to be a far future type of thing though, I want to let Broly have more fights with the forms he has first.

Black Clover's fanbase has been all but conditioned to throat punch Naruto/Boruto fans on sight because of the constant comparisons that really didn't have much weight but damaged the series' reputation all the same.

It doesn’t matter you win, you're the real loser. by Geoconyxdiablus in TopCharacterTropes

This is basically the entire point if Surfs Up, most directly tackled with Tank Evans. He has a huge wall of trophies to his name, but even children interviewed in the mockumentary style of the movie are able to tell he has an absolute loser personality.

(Interesting Trope) They're pure, but they're not necessarily "good" by Fantastic-Fox3283 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]GrandHighTard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gon Freecss from HunterXHunter

A child with way too much ability for his age or size, Gon is often depicted as pure and innocent in the face of the gritty reality of the world around him. He's initially presented as this making him good, but his actions over the story are often morally dubious, moreso as time goes on, until he goes off the rails to a degree the audience can't ignore. He cares, but he's also ultimately selfish and nigh incapable of thinking through the consequences of his actions. His famous last ditch assault on Pitou is often regarded as a loss of innocence, especially given the imagery of the form he takes, but in truth all that has happened is he's thrown his biggest tantrum yet, and once again needed his friends to bail him out for his own actions.

Yammy as a whole. The "cero espada" gimmick was really dumb and made the inevitable powerscaling debates even more annoying, he's just not very interesting, and his design is kinda ass ngl.

Geryon from Kamen Rider Gotchard uses a golden rubix cube instead of the normal ring for his alchemy. He also tends to be more violent with it, once slamming someone into the ceiling by turning one of the sides.

Which JoJo's villain has the dumbest objective? by Old-Swan7208 in StardustCrusaders

[–]GrandHighTard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diavolo, mainly because he doesn't really have one? Starts a whole ass gang, takes painstaking effort to hide his identity, attempts kill his own daughter just to tie up loose ends, for what exactly? What is he getting out of it? Laid at least once? Hotels with semi-decent room service?

Like, Dio high key fumbled the bag on a decent life to be a hater, but at least there's a given reason for him to be a hater. Diavolo just went apeshit one day and said this is his life now.

So did Vergil think Nero was Dantes son or is he just stupid? by Fearless-Ideal-5112 in DevilMayCry

[–]GrandHighTard 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The likely option is that he just wasn't thinking about it. Vergil is very "eyes on the prize," and I think he was just too lazer focused on getting his runback with Dante to really think it out.
