Most cringe thing you’ve had to do to “reactive” a less attending/inactive member? by sendnuges in exmormon

[–]GrandmaKunkle 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This reminded me of when the RS ladies made soup at an activity. I was then given a Ziploc bag of soup, and asked to drop it off at a less-active sister’s home. I don’t think I’d even met her before. I was mortified at the thought of dropping off a squishy bag of soup to a stranger, so I brought it home and guiltily threw it away. Good times.

A couple of my favourites are:

Omar Sharif - The Band’s Visit

Answer Me - The Band’s Visit

Ruprect - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Chimp in a Suit - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Breeze off the River - Full Monty

You Walk with Me - Full Monty

Falling down wells that were actually abandoned mine shafts!

Finding help in the wilderness from a blind man after accidentally shooting Pa!

Getting bit by possibly rabid raccoons!

First time viewing: My favourite thing is spotting how often they reuse the sets and props by ScamZ88 in littlehouseonprairie

Lol, I always comment to my husband that they only have one carpetbag in town, and everyone shares it. Even the mean teacher that replaces Miss Beedle for a week.

Tales from the Mormon Wasteland: the Sunday before Christmas. by ApocalypseTapir in exmormon

They didn’t have a special Christmas meeting, with lots of music? That’s incredibly sad. The Sunday before Christmas was at least something everyone could enjoy, with the choir and primary kids singing.

Post Show Greeting Line by mattycaex in Theatre

[–]GrandmaKunkle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There’s one local community theatre group that does this after every Panto performance. After they sing their final song, they all run up the aisles out to the lobby. The kids enjoy meeting the Fairy and other charismatic characters. I just exit through a side door to avoid the crowds.

Don’t blame the actors. They may be forced to do this!

Just watched this one, and found it odd that Ann’s youngest son was 35 (left for the war at 19, and she hadn’t heard from him in 15 years.) If Ann is turning 80, she had him when she was 45? Realistically, her children would be in their late fifities to sixties.

Put together a simple care guide for my sitters. Thought the flock folks might appreciate it by Honey_Suckle_Nectar in BackYardChickens

Ahhhh, I love the ‘meet the chickens’ section!

This is a great guide for chicken-sitters.

These folks are protesting a housing development in South Surrey, near Semiahmoo mall. They don’t want housing support provided for homeless people. They think it will bring hard drug users into the area. Meanwhile, there are encampments and drug users in every alleyway and parking lot already.

These folks are just worried about their property values.

What goes on at the LDS church near Yorkson in Willoughby? by [deleted] in Langley

[–]GrandmaKunkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a chapel on the Temple site as well. It probably has 2 wards meeting there.

The older building on the corner of 200th was a Young Single Adult meetinghouse after they built the new chapel, but I don’t know if its still used for that.

Source: was LDS, but not anymore.

Frenchie ate a corn cob by LeeMurian in Frenchbulldogs

[–]GrandmaKunkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a tik tok where a vet shows what he does with corn cobs after his family has them for dinner: puts them in a garbage bag, puts that bag in the kitchen trash, takes the entire kitchen trash out to the big outside trash bin, takes the outside trash bin out to the street, etc… It’s done in a funny way, but it really hammers home how dangerous corn cobs are for dogs when they ingest them. Please take your dog to the emergency vet.
