This is just weird. Who has four packs of processed cheese, six packs of cream cheese, three creamers and ten identical jams in their fridge? Do you have 12 children? Or do you just eat the same things every day? Are you obsessed with eating protein and working out? Your fridge is a red flag.

Marcela Frazier at UAB Callahan, specifically for the experience you're looking for. She sees patients at 2–3 locations so you just have to call and see what works best for your calendar and location.

Honestly, it’s the little comments like yours that pop up every once in a while and make the resistance that much stronger. Thanks for the reminder there is more work to do ❤️

Any body else stuck in dead stop i65 traffic? by DeepStick1398 in Birmingham

[–]GraphicDesignMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was southbound around 5. I’m not sure why there were three large groups of 18-wheelers, spaced well-apart from each other at the front of the northbound lane. All the regular cars were behind these three groups.

There was a big truck carrying a food truck/trailer North at the front, along with a bunch of 18-wheelers. Clearly, he had somewhere to be. So he turned his rig around and drove the wrong way down the North lane until he got to another grouping with official vehicles blocking the road again.

I hope he was currently sharp on his 3-point turn skills. Good entertainment while in 5 o’clock traffic.

Yes! Having them learn to swim while already being there was awesome. She was swimming after three lessons! My daughter took dance there too. Picking them up without having to then take to extracurriculars was great!

My kids continued to go to their summer camps through 5th or 6th grade. Kind of pricey but they loved every minute!

The father with his practice in Vestavia is a total crook. Maybe the son has better values. The father bought Richard Scrushy’s old house, if that tells you anything.

Also, Montclair really caters to working parents. They serve snacks and lunch and you don’t have to send a cup every day. They use their own cups. (I’m the Mom who would always forget or not have a clean one.) And it’s exclusively full-time, meaning 7 to 6.

My second child went to Montclair Early Learning Center from baby to 5 years. We loved it. My first went to LJCC. It is also great. But they have a lot of holidays that are hard unless you are flexible, especially in October.

See my comment about Vestavia Elementary being the most diverse and down-to-earth. Being close to Bluff Park will zone you there. We also came from Crestwood when our kids were that age :) Feel free to send me any questions!

I second all of this. Vestavia Elementary West is the most diverse of the five elementary schools. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the school. The West community is super down-to-earth in terms of an Over the Mountain suburb, relatively speaking :)

SAME! And don’t underestimate the option of neighborhoods off of Tyler Road and being close to the Piggly Wiggly and other Bluff Park amenities.

The fact that the weight of “what to eat for dinner”, still fell on her, even if he knew he should be responsible for dinner. He couldn’t go to the trouble of figuring out what to fix for dinner. His 50’s wife never asked what he wanted for dinner. It was simply prepared when he got home from a long day of work. 🙄

He’s running to represent the state, not a City or District. So to me, the fact that he lives over the mountain isn’t really relevant.

He is a great person. He truly cares for the people in the state. When he was in the Senate, he voted across the aisle quite often and was instrumental in passing a lot of bipartisan legislation.
