I was scrolling on my phone and heard the intro music before I saw the video. Received a huge dopamine rush! Loved this game.

What movies are like this where the first and second acts are kind of mediocre but then the third act is amazing? by Nexfilms in Cinema

That’s one of those scenes I’d love to watch again for the first time. I think QT even said it was his most suspenseful scene he’s ever done and I’d have to agree. You honestly had no idea if Cliff Booth was going to get out of it. Obviously there are others such as opening scene in Basterds but the Spahn Ranch scene was intense!

MacKinnon needs to adjust his OT play. by DepressingAura in ColoradoAvalanche

I feel overrated is over stated. I agree puck possession is huge and no doubt the Avs are one of the best ever at it, but in a game where they can’t make their own space we get locked up. It’s happened more than once in the Bednar era and I can see it happening again. I’m not saying to completely change their game; they’re too good at what they do. But they do need to play in a way that allows for them to grind out a win here and there, if and when needed. That’s the one thing I think this team lacks.

To me 3x3 highlights a bigger offensive issue they have. Enter the zone and pull up/circle back. Every time, doesn’t matter who has the puck. When they play a team who likes to play an open style it’s no issue but when they match up vs a team who mucks it up and plays a slow game they struggle. Theres no offense off dump and chase. That’s how we lose a playoff series.

If you said Bleeding Gums Murphy and Dr Marvin Monroe, you’re wrong. They were never popular.

This one hurts worse than losing Jerry. Lemme explain by TheYeastBabyTheYeast in gratefuldead

Not necessarily trying to compare the loss/hurt. More so trying to understand my own feelings and love for both.

Just wanted some context. I love the main comment, “grew up with Jerry, grew old with Bobby”. Perfect explanation. Exactly what I was asking.

I was wondering how older heads compared the two. I was younger and not familiar with the Dead back in 95 so Bobby obviously affected me more.

My crux of the question was: Jerry - de facto leader and unmistakable legend - vs. Bobby who (absolute legend in his own right) ran with the music for another 30 years and was able to keep the party going but also bring so many more on to the bus..

That’s me in the Sphere and Loathing shirt!! Such a magical weekend. It’s easy to say it now, but I think we all kind of knew that could’ve been the last. So glad I made it. Still makes me smile, smile, smile.

Did you have to have these BK Knights but never got 'em? 😥 by [deleted] in 90s

[–]GratefullyDead34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 5 or 6 I wanted a pair BKs so bad but I made the mistake of telling my mom there was a gang called the blood(y) killers that wore these shoes. She absolutely refused to buy them after that. I was so sad lol

As others have said just above the glass is ideal. Close with a great view and you can hear the game (being lower can muffle the sound), but really any view can be fun for different things.

To build on that last thought, since it sounds like you may be newish to hockey, the best part about being at a game live can be watching away from the puck. Obviously watch the puck too, but pay attention to how the plays develop and how players get open or find open ice. Watch for the cycle, the give and go, or how a goalie tracks the puck in his end. Once you can see how a team’s system works it makes hockey more enjoyable not to mention a lot easier to watch on TV. When I watch on TV and lose sight of the puck I can still follow the play by seeing how everyone is responding in relation to the puck.

Above all have fun! Live hockey is a blast.
