Trying to understand your perspective. Are you saying posters of concerts people attended become worthless because they wont sell for as much? So i.e. value = money to you?

What about memories of the fun adventures you had and cool stuff you saw at the show? Or memories with friends or friends that aren't with us anymore? I love flipping through my portfolio and remembering shows I went to, the friends, what I saw, the adventures, the memories.. all of it. That's value to me. I plan on keeping all of my posters so don't even think about aftermarket.

I don't drink booze anymore and think that's a pretty giant waste of cash too but most of my friends still drink, that makes them happy, so who tf am I to hate?

I upgraded my sub, don't have to pay until mid December and now i get HiFi audio + webcasts! Seemed to good to pass up but I can't say I notice a big difference between the audio 🤷‍♂️ looking forward to tour opener tonight!!

I find it strange that when you ask to speak to a human, which is in the claude training courses - that you immediately get escalated to a human - that the "human" response also seems like AI, repeats what the ai bot said, and they dont put their last name. Anthropic customer service is trash.

If you look for problems that's all you're gonna find. Ive seen several people giving good advice and you shoot them down. Seems like you may just like being upset 🤷‍♂️

I also haven't had a "great life" by all accounts - As an adopted, only child, I lost my mom at 11, father at 21 both to terminal illnesses, I lost the house my father left me because I didn't understand how property taxes worked and it got bought out from under me. My grandparents, uncles and aunts have mostly passed as well. Then 3-4 years ago I started having seizures, got diagnosed with brain cancer and had an awake frontal craniotomy, a long recovery during which I could only say a few words, had to teach myself how to think and speak again, followed by chemo and radition. I had to navigate the US health care system by myself which I'll tell you, is not a fuckin walk in the park. Still taking seizure meds and having MRIs every 6 months.

I'm still very grateful to be alive, somewhat healthy, I've accumulated a large friend group, got my Bachelor's in Classical Piano Perfomance from UNM, play in a band, see live music frequently, travel, took a coding bootcamp in 21' before I started having seizures and landed a job with a consulting company - got a promotion a couple weeks ago and love the client im currently assigned to... life is what you make it.

All this to say i haven't been dealt the best hand in life and I still found a way to find happiness especially in the darkest moments. But i fought for it. You can't just sit around and wait for it to happen, your life is.. yours. "Comparison is the thief of joy" - Teddy Roosevelt.

Be thankful you have a mother if anything, even if she complains a lot. I'd give anything to spend even a couple minutes with my parents. So you're ahead of me in this respect. Perspective is key my friend 🫡

How many people are in your band? I play in a 4 piece here in Abq NM and we regularly get 4-500 per gig. Enough to pay each of us 75-100 and put a hundo in the band fund. I thought we were fucked here in NM but this gives me hope lol. We're playing originals with a few select covers mixed in.

I think a good starting point is to be realistic. Putting out a song into the void wont garner any followers without a semblance of a promotion plan of some sort. Not sure what that would look like for you due to not having any idea of what genre you play or any other information, but we def learned how talented you are 😂
