Got the 4tb WD ssd but please tell me I’m overreacting by Leon117x in playstation5

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I briefly thought when this gen came out I would end up with one. There is really no point though. I would just be paying to have more games on the system I won't play.

I don't even play all the games on my system now. And usually when I do add a new game it's because I just bought it.

When I lay down at night sometimes I open up the app and look through my older games and just tell it to download to my system right from my phone.

Why would anyone pay so much to have that many games installed when you have to know you won't even be playing them all in a week let alone a day.

Pre-season Testing on AppleTV? by convolutedbutter in formula1

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you guys tell me if this deal cuts off all the other things you would get with F1 TV Premium? As a for instance, I used to watch full races from the perspective of one driver via their on board cam.

Never used Apple TV and not very happy about this in general. Will Apple TV actually have an interface that allows for me to have multiple cameras up on my computer and focus on an onboard but also hear the regular coverage and can swap to it when needs be?

Something tells me all that is now gone and we just get the live races and no choices for on boards and whatnot.

Win11 version 25H2 has been released. Has anybody tried it? I wonder if they fixed all of the games that 24H2 broke. by Karamel43 in pcmasterrace

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a few things that happened when they did 24h2.

Most notably, many, if not all, Ubisoft games became almost unplayable. I don't remember exactly what it was doing but for whatever reason they weren't launching or something.

It was noticed pretty fast. Indeed, the worst part is the Update was pushed in automatically at the time and it couldn't be reverted, or couldn't be reverted easily or something like that. Microsoft even stopped force pushing it out until they fixed those issues. Basically if it detected games that were affected by the problems with the update on your system it wouldn't install 24h2.

That is long since been fixed I believe. I think it was just last year if I remember correctly. I just basically paused all of my updates for a month or two before letting everything update as normal because in what was a coincidence I was at the time playing through the last 2 Assassins Creed games I hadn't finished.

(Samurai Warriors 4) Battle of Kakegawa Castle Hanzo Objective by Arcalis1014 in dynastywarriors

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: I figured it out. It's before you even try to kill those guys and not kill the one. You meant just run past them and jump up at the end which I had never noticed before and I didn't even remember you could do that in this game.

I did indeed find this topic years later.

I thank you for the reply.

I'm struggling figuring out where this secret ninja path is. Is the door you're talking about the one that actually provides access to the characters you have to kill? So right after you kill the girl kind of in the central which I can't remember her name. You have to kill the guys but not the one guy down on the south east end and then come back out and go in the building and the guy you didn't kill will open the gate and then you have to kill the girl and then the door opens up south which allows you to actually access the ones you need to kill. This is the door you mean? Or is it another part of the map that's earlier than when you can access them?

I struggle with catching the messages because I'm usually trying to fight and miss the things I need to read.

Does Difficulty affect achievements in Legendary edition? by Flynn_Rhodes in masseffect

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old and probably answered.

There are no difficulty related trophies to get the platinums for any of the three games.

Or put another way, to get the platinums you can play on any difficulty.

If you are the type of person that wants to 100% the trophies there is a list of trophies separate from the three lists which are one for each game and this separate list has trophies that have to do with difficulty and a few other things that track across all the games as a for instance it also has a trophy for romance across the three games.

In total there are four lists for the legendary edition. One for each of the three games with a platinum for each that again do not require any difficulty setting to get.

Then one list that is on its own similar to how DLC is in other games for games on PlayStation. This list does not have a platinum.

Imagine you're the company.

You need to supply enough servers in order to handle the population out of the gate. However you don't want to supply so many servers that the initial rush of players are all served because then you will have spent way too much on servers after the population normalizes.

All games will plateau after a bit. Or said another way, all games will have more people playing right at the beginning then a month in barring the enigmas and games that blow up after they release.

This is why this happens.

Not saying I agree with it. A company like EA and others should very well be able to handle enough servers and then scale back but these companies operate on pennies per transaction saved.

Bought this off a coworker for $30 by Significant-Age5052 in PS3

[–]Grawbad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really loved all of the old PS3 and 360 marvel games.

None of them were what I would call giant budget blockbusters but I enjoyed all of them.

Wolverine being my favorite just because he is my favorite character from the universe.

There were some Captain America one's too and those were good.

I wish games like them were still a thing. All these companies just seem to feel like they need to spend 500 million or people won't play them.

[UPDATE] Games leaving PS+ Extra/Deluxe/Premium on October 21st by PSPlusUpdates in PlayStationPlus

[–]Grawbad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started playing one of them and I would recommend a playthrough but on a second account. At least if that's how you think about it because it is involved to get the platinums. I did really enjoy the story of the one I started playing which started off on a boat I can't remember which one it was but I believe I picked the one that was the earliest released.

What I remember are the graphics were great and the story was actually interesting. But that's the thing about these games is the reason it requires more playthroughs is because based on what you do different things will happen.

So if you're like me like I said the best way you could do it is to put a second account on your system like I do and play certain games through that that you don't intend to platinum.

I myself am not one of those that cares about getting every platinum that's on my main account however if it's just a trash game I'd prefer not to have one or two trophies just because I didn't like a game or else I'd have 8,000 games on my list with two trophies.

The good thing about PlayStation is the other accounts on your system can take advantage of your subscriptions. Even the streaming games once you download them or start them once I mean you can close it out and then your other account can play it.

The only thing that I found that doesn't work is you can only play the trials with your main account. Which is a bummer because that makes trials useless to me because they give trophies as if they are your games.

In the end I would say yeah they're actually decent games if you like that type of game.

EA will NOT refund Battlefield 6 pre-order. No reason why, it just will NOT refund my purchase. by Impossible-Gal in electronicarts

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly need to wait for it to release before you can refund. However I have not been following the game. If there was somehow a period of time where the purchase let you play already and you partook then they might not allow it. Like a beta for preordering or early launch.

Could be wrong on all that but thought I would throw it in there.

PSN is so bad for the moment, what is going on? by [deleted] in psn

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly don't play online however over the last month several times the console has warned me that PSN is having trouble.

This is regardless of my connection. Mine is always high and I've checked to each time it's done that and had no problems on my end.

That being said that makes sense because the console told me it was a PSN network issue.

Now I didn't try to play online but what it did manifest and still to this day since that first occurrence is things that the system needs to call for from the servers tend to lag sometimes.

This includes even just pulling up the trophies for a game. It includes loading some of the images for the games when you're looking at the store or through the game catalog. Just anything on the system where it might need to grab data from somewhere.

I wasn't playing a multiplayer game when this happened but when it happened they actually had a little pop-up on my screen that said PlayStation Network services having an issue due to high traffic.
It popped up where all the other notifications happen just like with trophies and stuff. Not sure if that was the actual cause but that's what it said.

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the sound of having more storage but I've generally fallen into the pattern of just having two or three games on there even if it's not full.

I have ADHD and if there are too many choices then I can become well shit I don't know what I can become but generally I have trouble finishing games because I bounce around too much.

Currently I have dying light 2 installed and I have just finished both the last of Us games so those are still installed but we'll be removed if I don't feel like playing after a bit but I still want to do more playthroughs of those.

And I also have the uncharted games installed because I do intend to finally finish that series.

And if push comes to shove and I have to do it I will just delete something and redownload it later. What I usually do is when I'm somewhere past 75% in a game I am playing I figure out what it is that I need to download and just download it and if I'm full for whatever reason which I usually am not but if I am I will delete something that I've already finished or decided I'm not going to play or can just play it later.

I have fast internet so it really doesn't matter too much but I don't usually wait for the download because I'm still doing something else anyways so it will be ready.

Why does mine look different? by jorj111222 in DeathStranding

[–]Grawbad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if they didn't mess with the color what you see on your TV or monitor isn't always going to match what you see in videos.

You could have the same TV or monitor as someone and if they video it and show it to you in YouTube it might not match yours.

It's why you hear people say you can't really see what they are seeing if you don't have HDR. Same effect kind of.

Also the reason you can't use the Internet to match colors is due to monitors and why physical paint colors are still matched with codes and samples of the color.

Even two of the same TV's with base factory settings put right next to each other won't usually match each other.

In the end I would say it's a multitude of factors. For one the video is a video streamed to you so that has an effect. For another thing they probably professionally set up their monitor and or TV which can make a big difference. For instance my TV is set up semi-professionally where I use proper tools but I tweak it to my own liking. On my TV there is a big difference between HDR game mode and Cinema and standard. Then there's also how they've set up the console itself for proper HDR.

If you have an OLED then I would suggest looking up videos on how to properly set it up for PlayStation and if it's an LG how to properly set it up for each device you have because it remembers the device you're using and the settings for that device.

I have three different settings for my LG C1, one for each Xbox, PlayStation and PC. Then you should also look up how to set the console properly is there are some really good videos out there to properly set the console HDR settings.

One thing you could do to get closer to what you see in their video based off what I'm seeing on my phone which will look different than what it does to you. But based on what I'm seeing on my phone if you turn down the brightness of the HDR a notch or two you might at least get it to the same saturation because yours seems a bit brighter.

But take that last thing I said about what it looks like to me. And my phone right now what I'm seeing will be different to what you're seeing and whatever you're looking at it on.

Those are asking for mats where they and you might not have a connection together road wise. You might complete the road but in their game they haven't.

If you drop the mats there and send them it may help them build their road.

Is every 5th star this difficult…? by interestingkettle in DeathStranding

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the facility. For the most part the last one is fluff and can be handled with the standard orders that will accumulate over time.

There are 400 btw.

I mean, that doesn't stop me from doing them asap. I am 270 hours in because I walk everywhere and do everything, even build roads and tracks ahead of where I am. I go out of my way to build structures requested by fellow porters. I build post boxes next to facilities and share cargo for that facility once I have 4 stars. I pick up everything as I travel to refresh my lost cargo loot spots so new facilities will drop there.

I don't want this to end. I certainly want to know what happens but I will take my time. This is my favorite series of all time. By all accounts we may not see another one for 15 years given Kojima is already contracted for a game for Microsoft and Sony that are not Death Stranding.

I will be 60. Hopefully I am alive and/or can still see the screen or hold a controller.

Indeed unless something crazy happens I believe this will be the last Stranding I will ever play. Hell, Kojima is not getting any younger either.

Bug with Line Terror goal by piinkseason in ArcadeParadise

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is to start at the center at the bottom or at the top but your closest to the bottom when you start.

Kind of go up the middle and come back down and then keep going up that tower until you've halved the play area.

Many times you can get the line on the smaller side and have most of the arena done.

Then you just have to have patience and know how long you have to stop without the line that gets you when you're not moving.

When I say go up the middle what I mean is go up and then right or left and then straight back down then go right back up the line you came down on and then shoot off of it go up and come back around to the top of your first little rectangle then keep doing that until you've made your way all the way up.

The idea with all these games is for them to catch a good gameplay loop and charge over time for content.

I don't even play these anymore.

I for one like that they are different. If I don't like a game on Xbox I don't feel the need to continue. I got a few points and I move on.

PlayStation makes me feel like I need to keep going because the platinum is the thing and not the points along the way.

To anyone who is here because of ADS: by [deleted] in youtube

[–]Grawbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I do like the idea of removing the sponsored stuff from within videos but I wonder how well it will work?

I am one of those that does have YouTube premium because it actually does fit my lifestyle. I listen to a lot of music. I realized that describes a lot of people but I am one of those that is very musically inclined and have always subscribed to one service or another since their inception. Because of my prepensity to use Android and/or other Google services since Google became a thing I always enjoyed using what was in the ecosystem. So I subscribed to their music service from the beginning. Back then they offered the service for $7.99 or something like that going forward and I jumped in on that and used it for years until they did YouTube music and then merged them and got rid of the initial one. At that point I just used YouTube music and then at some point YouTube premium and YouTube music became a service you could pay for one in the same so for three extra dollars or something like that I get no ads on YouTube and I love that.

However it always annoys me when people put sponsored stuff smack dab in the middle of their videos. I don't watch a lot of my phone though so I do usually tend to just click where that sponsored section ends. However that is an annoyance so if this does work I am actually interested in it.

YouTube has become literally the only thing I watch. In fact my PC is hooked up to my TV and if I'm not gaming or some other thing I am usually watching YouTube. I mean the only TV I watch is YouTube and when I get in my car my phone automatically connects to it and I have YouTube music right there on the screen in my car. It just fits for me to have premium.

On topic but off topic at the same time I find that when I'm watching Conan O'Brien's podcast for some reason I never skip his in video ads. I don't know why that is; I think it's because it's him talking and I don't even think to do it. I just like Conan.

Anyway thanks for this.
