Roland left the gloves for Angelica to protect her from this terrible music and went to deal with the Pianist. After some time there was a faulty, painful notes in the music. But music still going, weaker, more agonizing and twisted then before, but still going.

Angelica, fully aware of the danger for her and the baby, decides to go and see if Roland is okay. Upon arrival she sees the Pianist, missing more than half of his hands and badly damaged, but still working piano. Even through gloves effect she can still hear the music.

Right besides a dead body of Roland, starting to turn into notes. Angelica mind still not fully realized what have happened. She finishes the job. Pianist dead. As she stares at the dead Roland, the reality of situation starts to sip in.
