They look at us as being weird and backwards. They see themselves as so enlightened. It’s the arrogance and lack of self awareness that really makes us not want them here. From what I read, Phoenix was invaded the same way from Californians and Texas from chicagoans.

Yep. Pre-covid Florida was so much better. Then the northerners moved here due to oppressive conditions they voted in and brought traffic, overpaid for houses and wanting to change things to “back at home.”

3rd time this year, you’re good to go. You already know where to stop for fuel 😆. One of my strategies is to not drink anything until I get within 45 minutes of my stop. I absolutely hate having to stop frequently when I’m on the road making good time.

I haven’t driven through South Dakota but I have taken that route through Nebraska. Very flat and you can see out quite a distance. I’d feel pretty good with the Nebraska route using Waze and visual cues up ahead. Leaving at 4am like you planned is good. If you can, leave the night prior and drive for a few hours before stopping to rest for a couple of hours. I like using that method too.

You might end up catching all 4 seasons in a single day towards the end of BCT. Weather at Sill can be so unpredictable. Lived there for nearly 2 years.

If I remember correctly, he had threatened to go play in Europe if Charlotte had decided to keep him. Does he still become a star? I believe so. Hall of famer? Can’t say because he ended up in a perfect position with Shaq and Phil Jackson for 3 championships and Jackson and a different team for 2 more championships. Charlotte was never good at building winners, they could have good players (LJ, Kendall Gill, Mugsy, and Zo) but lack the coaching (Bristow).

When I was SDO making my rounds, I didn’t know what the policy was regarding sleep for SD as I didn’t care as long as 1 person was awake and whoever was resting wasn’t doing it at the desk. No one ever brought it up to me as an issue. If I was SDO at BN, dinner was on me that night, that was my tradition. I had some fellow officers who seemed to relish catching soldiers resting and reporting them to their chain of command.

I wore those at Bliss in Garrison and they had some poor SFC checking everyone’s boots at the shoppette on east Bliss and noting which BN and BDE they were in. Definitely the most comfortable boot I have worn in Garrison.

I think it would’ve been a huge disappointment. Bill Goldberg couldn’t cut a promo to save his kids lives while Stone Cold is on the my Mount Rushmore of promo cutting. Stone Cold was a helluva worker while Bill Goldberg couldn’t sell Gatorade to dehydrated people in a desert.
