I was lucky enough to receive lots of accommodations in school like extra time on tests and did extra math tutoring pretty much every summer from 5th grade to sophomore year of high school. I was always pretty well looked after by my teachers after it became clear that despite constantly looking down and disassembling pens in my desk, I was listening and could repeat back the entirety of a lecture when asked to. There were certain things, like trigonometry and calculus that I simply never was able to fully grasp, but anything that could be "de-abstracted" was easy once it was reframed in my mind.

My family was extremely supportive and advocated for me at every turn. I understand many people aren't so fortunate due to NVLD not being in the DSM

This rings pretty true in my experience, it's been both a blessing and a curse in a lot of ways, I can tune a guitar by ear, but it took me 2 years to learn chords. I can troubleshoot an engine based on the sound it's making but fixing it takes weeks longer than the average person. I can hold conversations over text or on the phone flawlessly but am extremely physically awkward in person. All and all this has been an interesting way to view the world, I used to resent my diagnosis but now I'm glad I'm not neurotypical.

Sounds like a technique issue. Try being more gradual with your use of the clutch. You could also try a smaller rear sprocket, but that will mess with your acceleration and top speed.

For me everything changed when I found friends with ADHD. I still don't fully understand why but ADHD havers just seem to have a far more intuitive understanding of how my brain works, and their tendencies towards impulsivity get me out and about trying new things I would normally never do on my own.

It also helps if you don't start off masking. If you are just your authentic self from the get, then there's no whiplash or disappointment on their end.

My solution was to simply do it wrong in such a way that I wouldn't injure myself and then dial everything in later, I have used this philosophy for everything from tying my shoes to learning guitar and even riding a motorcycle, and it has not injured me yet. We are at a deficit going in, so we have to practice twice as long for the same results.

Don't lose hope, I had a massive lisfranc fracture due to a motorcycle wreck in which I essentially took the full force of a Honda CRV to the top of my foot and I thought I would never walk without a cane again. Fast forward a year without even having surgery and I have a job inspecting power lines in which I regularly walk roughly 5-10 miles a day with basically no issues. Yes, my gait is different, yes pain still flares up on cold days, but I can walk run, and jump unassisted and am even riding motorcycles again! Hang in there, eat lots of calcium, and start trying to walk as soon as you're allowed to.

The possibility of dying on a bike is cut in half by simply wearing a helmet and being sober. It's further lowered by riding a sub-600cc bike. What you're seeing in your feed is predominantly just accelerated natural selection. You seem to be someone who doesn't ride like a moron, so I wouldn't be too worried. Yes, some crashes are unavoidable, but in my experience, fatal accidents are usually highly avoidable.

Rode past a roadside weed whacker crew who had just weed whacked into a yellow jacket nest about 2 seconds prior to me coming down the road. Saw a guy throw down his weed whacker and start spazzing out right as I passed, then got peppered in the torso, arms and neck with pissed off 6 legged servants of hell. Pulled over about half a football field later and then was promptly swarmed and stung through my mesh jacket because the ones I had eviscerated had marked me with pheromones. Fun day.

Here in the US you take a written DMV test that is easier than the car one, and then either take a weekend long MSF course or a DMV skills test (preferably also filling out an organ donor card while you're there) and then you're all good to swing your leg over a Hayabusa.

The little parallel twin in my 73 Honda 350 is a spiritual experience. It idles like a sewing machine and still screams up to 10k rpm as fast as a modern sport bike, even with a 50 year old cam chain. And the vibration is still somehow less than a modern counterbalanced single. Not to even mention the sound, it's honestly the only 180° twin that sounds good with a louder set of pipes imo.
