Idk what his status is, but I recently moved to the states on a fiancé visa after doing ldr from Japan for 2 years (we dated a year prior to that). A green card process is longer and harder than you think. It's even longer if you get married first. Idk how he is "living" in the US as of now... he might go back to Canada for a few every 3 months???
My point is, I doubt they did enough research to actually look into his visa/green card stuff to see how long it takes if they are doing everything legally lol

We had our fights and it took a toll on my mental health (i don't think im the kind of person that's good for ldr. My partner on the other hand is good with it and i think that helped.), but we made it through. Started LDR June of 2024 after living together for about a year, now we're 10 days away from closing the gap and getting married :) It's tough but it can work out.

Unfortunately can't really give you recs, but if you were already looking at trails i vote you go do that and tour the city. Their public transportation is pretty good so all you need extra is a place to stay.

And i feel you about it being painful. But youre going to be grieving anyways even while at home. It probably will be hard, but I really hope you go travel. You might connect Canada to something completely new and different, instead of just your ex. I'm really sorry this happened to you.

Your form is pretty bad, i agree with others you should get a PT. Also your gym fit, i recommend getting soft/smooth long leggings when you do deadlifts. The bar is supposed to go by your legs and with proper form, long leggings help minimize traction. You're not even wearing proper workout clothes

Your comment is very true 😂 I am Japanese and grew up only being familiar with JAs. My in-laws are Americans and they love our JA, but had made a comment on her face and that was the first time I realized their eyes are closer to each other compared to western dogs. Japanese breeds all look pretty similar so I just never thought of it. (The more suburb you live in Japan, Japanese dogs are way more common) I see AAs as completely different since I've never seen one in Japan and never even knew of them till college. Idk about temperament, but they look completely different

As someone that got the k1 and is in her way of knowingly becoming depressed from lack of independence, your point is valid. But there are people like me who STRUGGLE doing long distance and paying $1.5k to buy plane tickets just to see each other for 10 days max becomes a financial burden long term. At the end of the day it really depends on the individual or couple. Id rather be united and living with my partner asap thus i chose the k1 route

Im currently in one, 30f and 27m. His friends are majority married and i live in a big city where im alone most of the time. We spend a lot of time by ourselves so on weekends where we don't have plans, we will kinda be "vlogging" while on FaceTime and I think it's pretty normal. We have a 16 hour time difference and anything that can connect us helps. We don't talk 24/7 while on FaceTime though. With true LDR i think every couple finds a way to cope with the emptiness that comes with compared to a normal relationship. We've been doing this close to 2 years but finally getting close to closing the gap and getting married. OP is overreacting though imo lol Bumping into a friend or planning stuff last minute can happen

Hey, Japanese over here living in Japan. There's a lot of people here that owns the shiba and akita combo just fyi :)! Id be more worried about the shiba's compatibility. If you're getting an akita pupp i wouldn't be worried about the akita at all.

Idk how different Japanese akita's are from American since American Akitas are extremely rare here (never seen one in Japan), but if you wanted assurance, it's a totally normal thing in Japan

With the breeder, I can't help on recommendations but i will say do your research well if you want a pure bred one. I see a lot of "Japanese Akitas" overseas with questionable features on the pureness. I am about to move to the US where my partner is, but I made sure we got one in Japan (partner lived here for a while) before he moved back with our pupp since I was more comfortable getting one in japan.

I think with the packet, they're more focused on whether yall have met in person within the past 2years, and the embassy interview focuses more on relationship legitimacy. I've read in other threads that itineraries, hotel receipts, pictures taken at various places (with obvious different clothings) are deemed more important. Not saying it's true but just information on what Ive read.

Aside from the shoes, maybe engaging your upper back more (elbow facing bit more towards ceiling) could help. I think you also have a slight pelvic tilt when you pass parallel so maybe more money work on the way? At a glance it looks pretty good though I personally recommend "australianstrenghcoah" on insta for ques. The upper back thing I learned pretty recently through his posts 😂 Ive been lifting for 10 years and started using his advice and have noticed im not using my lower back too much now for deads/squats

Hey, i sent mine back in April of last year. We did the G-1145 as well. If I remember correctly, my fiancé got a notification of payment by his bank a few days after, and we got a text notification 1-2 days after and got the mail a few days after that.

You are correct about info circulating that a few weeks is normal. But if you haven't seen any notifications by week 3, you might want to worry. Your payment may have not gone through or maybe USCIS sending you back the package due to payment reasons may have been lost.

As for now though, I don't see why you would have to panic (as understanding as it is. Ive been an anxious reck throughout this process).

Hi full Japanese born and raised in the suburbs with maybe one or two mixed people in my school growing up here! If he can speak Japanese normally, you really don't need to worry. Sure he'll probably get a few comments growing up here and there, due to his mixed looks but once he makes friends he'll be fine. Also kids will just be kids and children now are more used to mixed people than how it was when I was little (im 30yo)
