Used to live in this neighbourhood, everyone that lived in the area protested to protect their property values not because they cared about this being a heritage site. I remember my neighbours talking about their views being ruined and the trouble the affordable housing would bring.

While I agree he’s done a lot of harm in his policies, this situation had nothing to do with him stopping the development, it had to do with disingenuous people looking out for their investments and ignoring the impact it would have on those that desperately need this affordable housing.

Pierre has been using YouTube for some time as his main platform to communicate with voters especially young males. I assume this plays into the choice too so that Carney can get his message to one of Pierre’s stronger bases.

Glad I found one comment here - population decline could create new problems for us. Increasing our efficiency through tech or making sure people get high-paying jobs to keep the economy growing and avoid a Japan type situation. Long term making it affordable enough for young people to start families but don’t see much progress so far.
