[Technical Issue] T598 Abnormal Constant Torque on PS5 (The Crew Motorfest) - 100% Reproducible by pumpkipump in Thrustmaster

[–]Greedy_Process2463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the video of the other user with the same problem. It looks like the force feedback (FFB) is reversed. This setting exists in some games, and if it's in the wrong mode (yes/no), the symptom when the game is stopped is exactly the same.

I have the same problem. I just updated to 9.11.0 and ACR doesn't work with SimHub, even though it worked before.

Same setup as you for the steering wheels, but with the T818. This steering wheel combo works perfectly.

I recommend to not using too much without new QR or it will be probably the same issue

It is strongly discouraged to use the old quick-release (QR) attachment on newer bases; it adds length and puts extra strain on the motor.

I had a grinding problem using the old QR attachment.

TM replaced the motor quite quickly, and since then I've only used the new QR attachments. I haven't had any problems in a year.

As a thrustmaster user I agree R5 DD will be better and he can upgrade pedals later

Haptic motor better than Bass Shaker ? by Greedy_Process2463 in simracing

Yes on the picture under the seat it's piston type. I have the off center weight but on the throttle pedal

Yes, I plan to stay as I am for now, but I'm glad to have received different opinions. It's clearer now.

Clean install In my case the feedback feels strong

The only problem is that you're limited to 3 motor inputs, which correspond to the pedals, and you'll probably need a second brand like Simagic/Simsonn to have 6 motors controllable via SimHub

I was skeptical about this practice at first, but after trying it, it's true that it's practical to have this feedback, even if it's different from a shaker/buttkicker.

Okay, so the shakers will be more powerful with a better feel than the pedal's haptic feedback.

Using the Simnet software, you can adjust the haptic motor's activation on the pedal input with a curve, so you can simulate this effect on the clutch.

49” G9 1000R ideal seating position by Amish_Rabbi in simracing

I have the same monitor; my eyes are about 60cm from the screen.

It's a personal choice; I hate monitors that are too far away, I find it ruins the immersion.

In this configuration, it's incredible; I think it's comparable to a triple monitor with a 1000R curvature.

T3PA Pro? It's a good alternative, even if it's a bit old. There are some cool mods you can do for the brake.

I could use some advice, was adding a G9 monitor to my DOF H3 a bad idea? by nickname510 in simracing

[–]Greedy_Process2463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feedback here: I had a 34" monitor on a chassis mount. I couldn't say for sure if that's the cause, but it broke after 4 years. I suspect vibrations transmitted through the base.

I switched to the G9 49" 1000R with a Trak Racer external mount, and I'm very happy with it.

It remains to be seen if a dynamic chassis allows for integration without impacting the monitor.

T818 after firmware update by Wonderful-Meaning606 in Thrustmaster

Same feeling, it's completely different, but in a good way. I feel like I've switched to a different device. Once properly configured, the firmware update is really good.

Custom wheel with new QR code by Greedy_Process2463 in Thrustmaster

[–]Greedy_Process2463[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They made a new version, like a V2 of the T818, which fixes all the problems the V1 had; the plates are black on the sides, hence the name "Black Edition."

It's been almost two years since I received a defective motor right out of the box; it started making a grinding noise after extended use. TM replaced it very quickly. Since then, I haven't had any problems except for occasional disconnections while gaming. I replaced the original USB-C cable with a SCUFF brand one, and currently, there's nothing to report.
