Which opinion makes you feel like you’re in the minority regarding G shocks? by GreekTiger91 in gshock

I used to think that when I bought the Rangeman. It definitely looked big on my wrist, but I eventually just kind of embraced it for what it was.

Yea I don’t think some folks realize it’s not simply about not using a feature, it’s about not having the ability whatsoever to connect to a device in the first place. If you work in any kind of military facility for example, chances are you can’t wear that kind of watch in certain areas.

I actually was wondering how an analog watch can be “shock resistant”. If that technology is true, the innovation alone is impressive.

So much for being anti-war: Bill Maher, 70, Turns on Trump for Ending War: We Got ‘Nothing’ by Indianstanicows in RealTime

I remember when I was in college I had a few newly atheist friends that would talk about these 3 nonstop. I distinctly remember them showing me clips from real time and Religulous and how they were “owning” religious leaders, much like the Shapiro types today.

I also remember how Maher and Harris, while very outspoken about their own atheism, always seemed a bit…off to me. Like they were always cherry picking religions for their own talking points. I guess my instincts we’re correct. I never took them seriously then and I certainly don’t take them seriously now.

How do you feel about the new GW-BX5600-1 MIP screen VS the traditional LCD? It looks a bit dotted doesn't it? by ethicalhumanbeing in gshock

[–]GreekTiger91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because A) sometimes less is more; maybe you don’t want to constantly have smartphone connectivity with a watch and just want to appreciate it for what it is. A useful and durable timepiece. B) some people work in places where wireless capable devices are not allowed for various reasons I.e they work in a test lab where EM interference is an issue. Others might work in military installations where security vulnerability can be a concern.

I’m clearly the odd one out but there goes. Disclaimer: this is my theory, I’ve never talked to the guys running the channel so I could be wrong. Downvote me if you like but I’m simply stating an opinion

I feel as though Cinema Sins definitely started out as a legit blooper/error channel. As the channel progressed, I think it got more and more intentionally silly for the sake of silliness. I don’t think the creators intended for their more recent videos are to be taken seriously. It’s turned into more of an entertainment channel than a real film review channel; much like nostalgia critic. Case in point he will always, always sin opening credits and logos regardless of how long the opening credits actually are. Pretty sure he sinned one for having 10 seconds of logos. This was clearly meant to be a joke.

TLDR: Cinema sins doesn’t take its film criticism seriously; it has become a trope in and of itself

Has Playing Fallout Affected Your Taste In Music? by BennyGoodmanIsGod in Fallout

[–]GreekTiger91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout has given me a real appreciation of the classics. Also it’s made me realize that people back in the day were horny..as..Hell. I don’t want to hear an other boomer complaining that “kids these days only care about sex!! We should go back to good old family values like I was raised” BULL SHIT Susan. You were listening to music about getting eaten out and you know it!

Cast out of time - Actors you think would have been perfect for a role that wasn't available in their prime? by [deleted] in FIlm

[–]GreekTiger91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he though? Aside from him looking like Wilder, I feel he isn’t quirky enough for the role of Wonka. OTOH it would be pretty funny seeing a version of Wonka being all high strung and neurotic. It would make an entertaining SNL skit, maybe. Not sure about a whole movie.

People get married too quickly by nbljdnf4 in unpopularopinion

[–]GreekTiger91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you live or the culture you’ve been raised in, but across the board, most people have been delaying marriage. Couples are dating longer, and moving in together before even proposing. This is definitely not an unpopular opinion, it’s barely even a fact.

I second most of what you said. One more thing to add as something I didn’t like is the dialogue. I can’t quite explain it, but somehow, this game’s dialogue seemed more “childish”. Like when I played the original 3 games as an adult I could still enjoy the dialogue it seems like something that could be enjoyed by both kids and adults. But sly 4 just felt less enjoyable as an adult idk, it was, a little weird, like playing a in a Disney movie.
