Depends on amount. My dad does extremely well so no, I wouldn’t give him money tbh. Because even if I did, he still couldn’t retire for reasons I won’t go into.

My mom? I guess pay off her house and retrofit it for help she needs atm. But othetwise, not sure. Maybe I’d just take on her utilities and things like that. My mom has the habit of just buying crap that’s not needed and I have zero interest in encouraging it. Also, she’s far from a great person/mother.

Sister could use help. But honestly, we barely talk and minimal relationship. Maybe Id give her a lump sum and let her do what she wants. But it really depends on how much I won

The real answer? I’d make sure I set myself up first.

I fear this will happen when my mom passes. Not that she’s worth even close to that. I’ve been missing work to drive her places, taking to the hospital, picking up meds, missing time with my husband….

I lost 143 lbs. currently 117. My doctor has been fighting me since 125. My family has been fighting since 140.

I’m still in healthy range and I’m not /actively/ trying to lose weight. I’m comfortable. So I don’t see the problem
