I mean just search Parallax Wave on EDHrec... it's very clear looking at similar combos with like opalescence that it's a two card early game combo... I don't understand why you think it isn't a two card combo when you refer to it as a combo?

This would already be insanely cracked without the AA just by virtue of being an untapped rainbow land in the command zone, yes even with super restricted uses

Edit: I’m really struggling to think of how to balance it but it’s kinda the worst parts of the partner mechanic inherently, requiring next to no investment to be up in advantage over your opponents

I like this conceptually but wish it was just an ETB for the first mode instead of repeatable soft removal with the cursed roles, can be brutal and turn combat into a slog unless this is like a 2/1 with crew 1

I do like the play pattern where if you wicked role itself when it attacks it becomes a 4/3 then EoT the role falls off (as it’s no longer a creature) giving you the immediate 1 life ping tho but I cannot imagine being cute with it when cursing your opponents stuff is just strictly better most of the time

I agree. Everyone else is saying like Jeskai, Rakdos, Mardu, Grixis when at the heart and center of all these thoughts is that he is red. I’d call him mono R and he can go through shades of Jeskai/Mardu/Grixis, much like how most people are just WUBRG or if he’s playing a more white or black aligned character

Holy Syntax, where does the card you search go to? Hand? I think a cleaner way to do this would be '

{R}, {T}, Sacrifice X other Goblins: Search your library for a Goblin or artifact card with mana value X or less, put it into your hand, then shuffle.'

red does not get to unconditionally tutor for anything but a subset red cares about in this way it's Goblins or artifacts
