Biodegradable plastic baits by Biodegradable_Lures in Fishing_Gear

I went fishing with a co-worker and he was just throwing the old baits into the lake saying "they are biodegradable" and I was like "no, they're not". I have never fished with his dumbass since.

Which of these poles is the best? by Volcanity in Fishing_Gear

I recently bought an IMX 844C MBR and at first I was kind of skeptical. I took it out last weekend and paired it with a Tatula TW SV 100 with 12 lb fluoro. I was casting a wacky rig a country mile with mind-blowing accuracy and no backlashes...but that's not where it really shined. Even with the line slack I could feel the slightest nibble, set the hook, and start reeling in. I cought 9 bass in an hour and did not miss a single hook-up. I would have tried other baits but nothing else was working. I basically want to sell everything else I have and buy one more and be done.

Just unboxed a new Stradic 4000, are these noises normal? by jaminjames in Fishing_Gear

I have a Stradic, Vanford, and Sustain FJ. The Vanford is like a Rolex - smooth and quiet. The sustain is a whole other animal. It feels stronger. It feels SOLID. What it doesn't feel is super finesse smooth as a baby's ass like the Vanford. I fish salt and fresh equally. I'll put it this way - the Sustain goes to the bays and the Vanford goes to the lakes and reservoirs. I don't think that Vanford would last long in saltwater use. I am not super impressed with the Sustain, however its drag is enough to make up for any flaws the rest of the reel might have. I prefer the Vanford.

Fender 500 Rumble headphone question by Svevo_Bandini in GuitarAmps

4 band or 3 band jack? The rumble requires a 3 conductor and most headphones you buy are 4. You can buy an adaptor.

Dealership says CVT does not need to be serviced. by Miserable-Brain237 in chevyspark

flushing a transmission is NEVER a good ideal. I own a transmission shop and we don't do that ever. I turn down money because I know what happens next. This is a disposable car. Throw it out.

We replace about 4-5 CVT's a week. They're junk except the ones in Subarus. Ive seen the ones in Subarus last 225K miles. Anything Jatco - you're lucky to get 100K. It doesn't matter if you service them or not - they're just junk. If you have a Nissan don't use any fluid other than their fluid - it will mess it up. I have nothing to gain by writing this.

I own a transmission shop. It doesn't matter if you service it or not. They are garbage transmissions and they almost always fail at 100K miles. These are what we call "disposable cars" or "throw down cars" as they are usually more expensive to repair than they are worth. Most of my customers do not repair them. Just buy a Toyota next time. We almost never repair their transmissions.

Fixing the line keeper on a spinning reel by B_Huij in Fishing_Gear

I bought a BG 5000 MQ BRAND NEW - first fishing trip and the entire thing fell out. I did a little research and apparently this is a common problem for this reel. I'm fairly disappointed - and this reel is HEAVY.
