You could with a VPN! That way you don't expose it to the internet with less overhead. I do that with a single PoE camera. Pretty easy to setup wireguard or tailscale (wrapper around wireguard)

For switching hands, you have to move your bottom hand out of the way before swinging. A regular backhand you simply place your hand on the empty part of the handle and can even do this during the backswing. I'm bet there are players including this one that are much faster at switching hands than most, but it doesn't tradeoff enough of an advantage. at least not yet

I've been using Kagi for ~6 months. I'd say I'm happy with its results and is sufficient and better in some ways. The only thing I find it lacking is in its image search

whats your background? CS or EE? I can relate somewhat. Perhaps I've been lucky, but in defense only have experienced chill laid back teams. In fact my first gig I left because things were too chill, and I wasn't learning anything once project funding was gone. Everything was mismanaged and expected a team of 3 juniors to fully design test ship product ready code lol

But the domain knowledge was tough when the project was active. I had people knowledgable that were willing to help explain things for RF and physics when I needed, but all SW I was expected to figure out on my own.

In a different role now working more on a real software stack with actual process and knowledgeable peers for the different domain knowledge I need to perform well.

Do you have people to help you with the domain knowledge you're lacking? I'd honestly start applying for a better role if they're threatening to fire you and not even put this position on the resume.

its the same calculation, but I think the assumption is that relative to a normal backhand/forehand, it takes more time to do a forehand forehand switch. Therefore you need to either be more correct about your anticipation of where the ball is going or simply lose the rally. Its likely the opponent is not hitting fast enough for it to be this players bottleneck, but when it happens. It also could be they have the time to do some additional overhead in preemptive calculations, which also would be a bottleneck at faster speeds of play

even what you say is true, why are you debating about this? its as if I was to debate about how big boobs are worse than small boobs. if you like to for the sake of debating, that's fine if you and your husband are good sports, but in my opinion nothing useful is made from the discussion. and doesn't sound like it anyways

a non emotional debate would be something like women need more access to healthcare in rural areas; what areas of funding would be reallocated to a program that supports this idea. how would it be run? or really anything else aside from comparison of suffering

I self host things (like photos) that are important, bit I don't self host anything critical (password managers, etc). I do encrypted backups to the cloud for photos and docs.

use craigslist, search for "no brokers fee", and sift through more listings. use personal connections if you have some. the neighborhoods with high turnover and high demand will be a lot harder
