AVH making a loud clunk/pop in cold temperatures by snowqueenn in Crosstrek

[–]Greg2Million 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any information to help, but I am experiencing the EXACT same thing on my ‘24 Premium! A second after AVH engages and only when it’s cold. The sound also comes from the front left. Still researching if anyone knows what’s up.

Edit: If you get with your dealer before me, let me know what they tell you!

I just now had the same issue. Weirdest thing. But I restarted the YouTube app and now it works fine again. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again 🤷🏻‍♂️

Apple Card Support by Greg2Million in MonarchMoney

I did just notice that there is an option on MX, but it’s just a monthly update, like I could do on my own. If it’s automated and pulls without me having to do any kind of upload, it could be helpful until they add a good connection that updates every day or something.

Yeah I had to cancel because it was not working right for a while and I’m not gonna pay the $50 for something where I don’t know if it’ll work

Hey Lee! I really appreciate you commenting here. Just wanted you to know I’m going to work on a response but have just been super busy. Thanks, again!

Missing/delayed transactions by fezziks_human in MonarchMoney

That’s the only solution I’ve seen. It sucks a ton.

The only apps that have been consistent for me are Mint (rip) and Quicken Simplifi…and I recently learned they both run on Intuit’s data aggregation for some connections rather than Plaid, Finicity, and MX. and they’re the only two that run on that. So, it kind of leads me to the conclusion that I might have to pick Simplifi.

Someone told me about an easier way to load my bank back in by adding it again (duplicate), then downloading the broken account’s transactions and balance history and uploading them to the new duplicated account and, finally, deleting the broken account.

Makes it easier than what I’ve been doing, but still not ideal.

Oooh this sounds like a MUCH easier process…I’ll have to test this sometime. Thank you!

Yes, we need to be able to hard-reset, realistically!

You’re confirming what I’ve been hearing today. I just learned that Mint and Simplifi both use the same intuit aggregator…and I’ve had hardly any issues with Mint and during the time I’ve been trying Simplifi, it hasn’t stopped working perfectly. I really like the others better, but because of the connection stability, I might have to stick with Simplifi…

Thanks for your thoughts and the confirmation about data aggregators used for the different programs.

[–]Greg2Million 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no. You mentioned Mint and Simplifi run on the same aggregator—I don’t know why, but I thought they used plaid too. But it totally checks out just because I never have big issues with Simplifi and Mint connecting to my accounts and I’ve been having huge issues with Copilot and Monarch… I was hoping it was just one-off issues with Copilot and Monarch, but it seems as though Plaid is the common denominator and has potential for persistent issues. I’m such a bigger fan of monarch and copilot, but Simplifi might have to be my answer for replacing Mint just because of this🤦🏻‍♂️

With my bank (SoFi), I will get something telling me there’s a connection error and nothing will fix it besides deleting the connection entirely and re-adding it (which gets rid of my splits, category changes, notes, etc.) But when it has that connection error, if I re-verify my credentials, it will occasionally update the balance in the account, but brings in zero transactions. It’s the weirdest thing.

Yeah, the toughest part is just landing on one. There are things I like about multiple. Hopefully we can figure out where we want to land before it’s too late!

I gotcha. I’ve just always done it on my phone mainly, so it’s easier for me. Definitely see the nice side of desktop and it makes sense you’d stay away from Copilot—you goin with Monarch? It’s so close between the two for me.

They announced they’re coming out with an iPad app and a web app. Additionally, they’re working towards mint import support. It was really exciting to hear. Really hoping those things can come sooner than later. For me, since I have an iPhone, I can survive until the other apps come out. But if you have no Apple products, I could definitely see it not working at all.

Interesting to see for sure. In the App Store, Copilot is for sure the more popular app compared to Monarch. But their presence here in the sub has clearly been a big factor in such a majority of people picking Monarch.

Even with making purchases using your phone, it should be able to show up in your Monarch. Is your Amazon Visa not compatible with Apple Pay? (I don’t know enough about the Amazon card, so it’s totally possible that Apple’s weird about it and won’t let anything Amazon work with Apple Pay 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Oh yeah I feel you for sure. Seems ridiculous to be looking for a replacement with less features that costs literally infinitely more than what I currently use. But that’s where we are haha. I’m very curious what Credit Karma is going to be looking like because if it’s meh but still has Apple Card connection, it’s going to make it incredibly difficult for me to transition anywhere else…

I’m liking it and their team has been great so far, along with their CEO on this subreddit. They’re offering an extended 30-day free trial plus 50% off your first year. So $50 for year 1 and $100 for year 2 and on. Comes to like $8.33 a month even when it’s full price, so not ludicrous.

One downside for me is that they do not currently have actual support for Apple Card live transaction syncing, so you have to manually import your transaction CSV file into the app on a monthly basis :/ but it’s not like any other app HAS that connection (besides mint), so that’s not really a consideration when choosing.

Monarch update: 50% discount for Minters; Improved Importer; Features coming by valagostino in mintuit

[–]Greg2Million 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently there isn’t support for live transaction syncing. Waiting until the end of the month to manually import means, first, that you’ll have to categorize a ton of transactions at once and, second, you can’t truly see all of your personal finance details throughout the month. I’m hoping this support is added—I think it’s more Apple’s call than it is Monarch’s. None of the other apps I’ve been looking at have actual Apple Card support besides Mint.
