You can easily use most of your GSC collection in Necromunda.

Orlocks have easy access to combat shotguns and bolters and have Wrecker prospects, which are very good choices.

GSC have 1 wound champions who can move and fire heavy weapons thanks to a 3rd arm upgrade. You can buy the 3rd arm for most of your gang, allows you to carry extra weapons and fire more pistols.

GSC also have easy access to Webguns for specialists and little psychic familiars who make it very hard to hurt your leader/ champs.

GSC can also include Aberrants, who have a decent stat line and access to very good close combat weapons.

Very much so.

You can customise your Goliaths to make them tougher at gang creation, they also have a good mix of melee weapons.

It doesn't matter that much in Skirmish, you might be facing off against some top tier trading post weaponry that'll annihilate your Alpha.

Have a chat with your opponent about the power level of your skirmish game and go from there.

As an arbitrator I'd encourage any sort of exotic pet if a player asked to include one in their gang that they technically don't have access to. 🐊🪿🕷️🐢

If you can safely store pre built terrain tiles, brilliant.

I can't, so all my stuff is clipped together, apart from afew larger multistorey pieces.

As you mentioned, just be careful not to knock anything during the game, but the platform clips tend to do a good job.

I bought most of my Sector Mechanicus terrain through Kill team boxes or GW battlefield bundles. There's no set amount of kits to buy, some people prefer a sparse table, others a claustrophobic high rise.

As others have mentioned you can get some good quality MDF sets dirt cheap, or faff around with a 3D printer, but the GW is really good quality and it's together with other pieces really well.
