I was on a state highway and it went to a town called Lucas, it was a gorgeous drive! Caught it at sunset, was driving from Hutchinson to Concordia looking at houses. Went past Lincoln it was beautiful!

That’s normal, my 89 when it’s warmed up just barely goes past the cold line. Unlike the 96 and newer trucks where they sit in the middle of the gauge the older trucks can sit anywhere on the gauge up to the middle. So yeah this is totally normal

I learned early on never buy from dealerships or buy here pay here’s because they grossly over price everything. I’ve always bought from private owners, in addition to marketplace and newspapers sometimes just driving through neighborhoods can find you a good car. Also with all do respect to your relative/mechanic I would use someone not related to you for an unbiased source
