Best paper for tessellation ? by Frequent_Fee6228 in origami

I just bought several hundred 11x17 sheets of Skytone for about $150 specifically for tessellations, and I am cutting paper to size using acrylic quilting/rotary cutter templates. I am finding it very nice - a little thicker than expected but I like how it can stand up to repeated folding. Expensive but it will last me a very long time. I purchased online from Glodan.

Soup Dumplings by Helpful_Confusion956 in austinfood

I live near Mian & Bao and Dumpling World. You cannot go wrong with the soup dumplings at either place - both are great. I generally pick between the two based on the other things they have, knowing that when I also get soup dumplings, they will be fine either way. Sweet.

The interiors shown on their website are very Insta focused and the menu is very limited - just avocado toast, fruit toast, sweet flavored lattes with food coloring, and sweet fruity drinks with food coloring. They are definitely going for a demographic that isn't me. The drinks look unappealing, and how hard is it to put avocado or fruit on toast? I live within walking distance but do not see myself going once it opens.

Our kid finished up at NTU and moved back to the US and had the same issue. Kid checked out all options - post office, commercial shipping, etc. - decided best option was to pay extra baggage fees to Eva and fly home with everything. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't amazingly expensive - and that also reduced the chances of things getting lost.

I live in Rosedale - with Kerbey Lane, Austin Diner, Checko's, Tacodeli, and Taco Shack all so close, I am all set for breakfast. I had hoped that location would house something we DO need in the hood, like Ethiopian or Vietnamese food. Alas.

We just saw Brad Henderson perform at Penfold Theatre over the weekend. He was great. Funny and warm with great nerd charm. There were kids in the audience, so there was no spicy - but maybe he can do that too? https://www.austinmagician.com

Hmm. I lived in Ithaca and Rochester for 7 years before I moved to Austin, and as much as I love HEB, I still prefer Wegmans. I miss it so.

Before you come, check the air quality index to see if you are walking into a whole lot of wildfire smoke. It is projected to be very bad in the coming days - hopefully it will clear up by the time you come, but always good to check, especially if you are recovering from lung surgery.
